Expo Countdown

Denmark nearly ready for the show

01 June 2021

The Danish Government has announced that steady progress was being made on its country pavilion for the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai with the superstructure now ready and the full fit-out due for completion by the end of July.

Located in the Mobility District of the mega event, the pavilion features an 18-m-tall observation tower. Once completed, it will host several high-profile Danish companies, including globally recognised mobility experts such as DSV and Maersk, alongside Rockwool and Ege. Close to 1,000 Danish SMEs are expected to participate.

The pavilion will showcase the country’s export and investment potential in partnership with the Danish Business Council.

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020, received confirmation of the country’s participation from Danish Ambassador Franz-Michael Mellbin, who has been appointed Commissioner General for Denmark at Expo 2020, at the recent International Participants Meeting (IPM) in Dubai. For the first time in World Expo history, every participating nation will have its own pavilion.
