Leading global engineering majors Mott MacDonald, SNC-Lavalin Major Projects and Esbi Engineering and Facility Management have submitted bids for providing consultancy services for utility diversions of Bahrain Metro Project corridor.

This comes in response to the request for proposals (RFPs) issued by Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications for enabling work design for Phase One and Phase I A of the metro project, according to the Bahrain Tender Board website.

The scope of work includes planning and designing the utilities diversion conflicting the corridor and also proposing new corridors for the diverted utilities by co-ordination and approval of the relevant authorities such as Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) and all relevant authorities, stated the kingdom’s tenders site.

Phase One of Bahrain Metro Project is approximately 28.6 km long with 20 stations, while Phase I A will be 8 km long with four stations, it added.
