UAE-based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) says it has secured two sizeable offshore contracts worth AED8.2 billion ($2.23 billion) from Saudi energy giant Aramco for its multibillion-dollar Zuluf incremental project.
An offshore engineering and fabrication group headquartered in Abu Dhabi, NPCC, is wholly owned by National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC). The contract award involves two packages of the Zuluf marine field, states NMDC in its filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. The project is expected to be executed over three years.
Zuluf is a giant offshore oil field located in the Arabian Gulf, approximately 240 km north of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Owned and operated by Saudi Aramco, the Zuluf field is undergoing a major expansion to add 550,000 to 600,000 bpd of oil.
