Messe Frankfurt Middle East (MFME), the regional subsidiary of leading trade fair, congress and event organisers Messe Frankfurt, has announced that it is set to co-locate two of its leading exhibitions in Dubai to capitalise on visitor and exhibitor synergies.
Light Middle East|Intelligent Building Middle East, the region’s premier exhibition, conference and awards for lighting, design and technology, and Intersec, the world-leading emergency services, security and safety event, will now run side-by-side at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 17 to 19.
MFME pointed out that the dual trade platform would find greater traction amongst corporate real estate, facilities management, building owners and operators and IT departments who stand to benefit greatly from the use of building intelligence in order to meet space optimisation, energy efficiency and connectivity challenges.
“This is a strategic move to maximise visitor and exhibitor engagement with both events sharing important visitor groups and interests across system integration and installation, facilities and building management,” explained Christine Davidson, Group Exhibition Director of MFME.
“With the two events taking place at the same time, visitors will be able to take in the entire systems integration range under one roof. We’re creating a powerful event alignment featuring more than 1,200 exhibitors from 60 countries,” he added.
Both Intersec and Light Middle East successfully returned to Dubai in 2021/22 and the collaboration to co-locate in January next year is aimed to provide the perfect platform to drive the region’s Smart City Vision in developing a smart, safe, secure, connected and sustainable environment and a meeting place for over 25,000 trade visitors across 108 countries.
