Grindex says its Proline range of drainage and sludge pumps are the culmination of all the product improvements made over the years plus some new ones.

Swedish submersible pump manufacturer Grindex has relaunched its full range of drainage and sludge pumps under the new name of Proline.
Proline, which was launched at bauma 2001 in April in Germany, builds on Grindex's successful New Line range. More than 100,000 pumps of the New Line range, which was launched in 1990, have been delivered for wide ranging applications in many industries around the world - particularly in tough demanding construction, mining and quarrying situations.
'When we launched New Line, we set new standards in performance, reliability, durability and simplicity. However, as new technology and new engineering techniques became available, it was progressively introduced to the range ,'' says managing director Goran Holmen. "I believe we make the best submersible pumps in the world but they can always be made better.'
'At Grindex, we do not store emerging technology for use in a new range. We give our customers the immediate benefits of new technology by introducing it into our existing models as soon as it has been proven.
'The new ranges are a culmination of all the product improvements made over the years plus some new ones,' he points out.
Elaborating on the line, Holmen says: "Proline sets new standards in submersible pumping technology. The range of dewatering and sludge pumps has many features that provide outstanding reliability over extended periods of time, whether running wet or dry. Requiring minimal maintenance and operating silently, they help keep dry underfoot ground conditions in quarries and on construction sites, protecting valuable assets while permitting ongoing work.
"Key to the reliability of the pumps is smart technology which gives threeway protection:
"All Proline pumps feature the automatic air valve, activated when the pump starts to snore, and uses the impeller to draw cooling air to the stator housing and motor. Double mechanical shaft seals prevent the ingress of water and the corrugate stainless steel outer casing provides a tough, protective shell against tough handling and operating conditions.
Grindex, according to Holmen, has a reputation for attention to detail and this can be seen in such small details as:
The Proline range of submersible drainage pumps have the capacity to handle from 10 to 330 litres per second. Higher capacities are possible by connecting pumps in tandem. Heavily contaminated liquids with solids in suspension up to the size of tennis balls (76 mm) can be handled with Proline sludge pumps.
The proven ability and versatility of Grindex Proline pumps make them suitable for applications in any industry, he concludes.
