1,500 firms set for Paris show

01 October 2001

More than 1,500 exhibitors are expected to take part in the annual Salon du Meuble de Paris (Paris Furniture Exhibition) to be held from January 10-14 next year at Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles.

"The show is changing with a view to be 'intimately' in phase with the various people visiting it," according to Compagnie d' Organisation des Salons des Professions (COSP), organiser of the event on behalf of Medifa.

COSP is represented by Dubai-based Promoservices in the Middle East.

The new layout reflects the market structure and its distribution. This new division into sectors enables the show to be more efficient for exhibitors and more practical for visitors.

The 2002 session is organised around two concepts: Expressions and Grands Marches (Consumer Markets).

The Expressions area groups companies exhibiting medium to top of the range products which are targeted at the traditional distribution, independent distribution, boutiques, intra-muros shops and specifiers.

A Consumer Markets area will group companies exhibiting products from lower to the medium end of the market aimed primarily at large-scale distribution and traditional channels of distribution.
