Muscat firm markets dutch dock levellers

Dock levellers form a key link in the logistics chain that can help companies save time and money, says an Omani trader.
Therefore, care should be taken to choose machinery that is both reliable and efficient, says Arab Merchants Company, which markets a range of upmarket European materials handling systems in the Sultanate.

Elaborating on the range of systems on offer, Sharabati says: "The Miniramp is a small mechanical loading dock leveller with adjustable power plates that is simple to install in both new and existing buildings.
"The Poweramp dock leveller is available both in hydraulic and mechanical models with either a hinged or extending lip. Poweramps are available in a large range of sizes and capacities and with several options.
"An extensive range of dock seals, dock shelters and inflatable dock shelters protect both people and goods from temperature fluctuations and weather conditions during loading and unloading and effect considerable energy savings.
"The Powerlock vehicle restraint system, designed to prevent vehicles from moving when stationary, also has an audio and visual warning system.
"Industrial doors are also supplied made-to-measure and can be adapted to suit almost every available space. There is a range of options including insulated sectional overhead doors or roller shutters in various colours and finishes, vision panels and pass doors.
"Finally, the Powerlift dock leveller is designed for extreme variations in height between the platform and the vehicle and for loading and unloading of very small vehicles.
The Muscat-based Arab Merchants has supplied Loading Systems' products to various projects in the Sultanate, most recently to an agglomerate factory in Sohar, Reem Batteries at Rusayl Industrial Estate, Modern Poultry's farm at Sohar and Toyota's automobile shed at Al Amirat, he says.
