Bobcat has launched a new compact tracked loader called the T190, which complements its existing larger model, the T200, previously known as the 864.
Like the T200, the T190 has a dedicated tracked undercarriage to provide superior traction and very low ground pressure for operation on very soft or muddy ground and sand, as well as on uneven terrain.
"The very low ground pressure makes the T190 ideal for any application where soil compaction and ground disturbance should be minimised," says a company spokesman. "Moreover, since the rubber tracks will not mark paved surfaces, the T190 is ideal for travel over and use on public roads. Special applications include use in clean-up work, particularly in areas and in conditions where the use of larger machines is restricted."
He continues: "Based upon the highly-successful 773 skid-steer model, the T190 is equipped with a vertical lift path boom arm for increased capacity, lift height and reach. Like the 773, the T190 has a rated operating capacity of 860 kg and offers the same overall length and width. The operating weight of the T190 with bucket is 3,286 kg. Equipped with 320-mm rubber tracks, the ground pressure exerted by the T190 is 350g/sq cm. By comparison, the T200, equipped with bucket and 320 mm tracks, has an operating weight of 3,720 kg and a ground pressure of 367 g/sq cm.
"The T190 is powered by a four-cylinder Kubota V2003T-EB diesel engine, yielding 42 kW (56 hp) at 2,800 rpm.
"The T190 is equipped standard with the Bob-Tach system for fast, easy change of attachments. It can mount and use all the attachments designed for use with 700 series loaders. Buckets intended for use range in capacity from 0.35 cu m in heavy earthmoving and construction applications at 0.60 cu m for handling of light materials.
"The T190 is also available in a high-flow hydraulic version, the T190H, which can be used to power high-flow attachments such as the plane, wood chipper and stump grinder.
"Like all Bobcat Next Generation loaders, the T190 features the new cab design and new instrumentation, including, as an option, the deluxe panel with keyless start, a feature that allows for optimal flexibility with multiple operators and helps to prevent theft. It also features automatic shut down, which stops the engine, to prevent potential serious damage engine and hydraulic system.
"The T190 can be equipped, as a factory-installed option, with the new Bobcat advanced control system (ACS) which allows the operator to choose, via a rocker switch, between hand and foot controls for the loader boom arm and Bob-Tach hydraulic functions."
