Al Mutawa of Oman recently renovated its Muscat showroom, which now features the latest models of bathroom fixtures from Jacob Delafon of France.
Al Mutawa has been the exclusive agent for Jacob Delafon in Oman since 1981.
"Since its origins in 1889, Jacob Delafon has been at the forefront of bathroom innovation and expertise and the company is today a full-line manufacturer of bathroom fixtures," says Al Mutawa managing director Suhail Sharabati.
Jacob Delafon is a subsidiary of Kohler Company of the US, with manufacturing facilities in France, Italy, Spain and Morocco, and sales units in the UK, Russia, Poland and the Benelux countries.
''Jacob Delafon's trade is to design, manufacture and commercialise homogenous lines of products which not only fulfil basic hygienic functions but also satisfy an individual's life habits, to make the bathroom a truly living space,'' says Sharabati. ''The company's product range covers fittings, sinks, furniture, wash basins, vanity basins, WCs, bidets, hand basins, showers and baths.'
"On display at our showroom is the Freelance range from Delafon, which is defined by its smooth curved lines and no sharp corners," says Sharabati.
''Freelance, he continues, ''offers a large overview of life. This collection completely transforms a bathroom, borrowing from nature its treasures of ingenuity, softness and creativity. It features intelligent vanity basins and tops, a complete shower bath, a complete WC suite in a seamless design and natural finishes for modular furniture.
"Another Delafon item, the Iroise multijet shower tower, has an upper adjustable self-cleaning shower head with spray and massage settings, four lateral shower heads with two wide stream settings, thermostatic tap with temperature security system, a water-saving stop valve and a six-combination diverter. A hand shower with spray, massage and mist settings are optional."
Al Mutawa has supplied Jacob Delafon sanitary ware for several projects in the Sultanate.
Among the recent ones are the Radisson SAS Hotel, Nizwa Hotel Phase II, Al Manal Center, Khaboura Resort, GTO building at Al Khuwair, and various other multi-storey buildings and villas.
