Wright Style, one of the UK's leading steel glazing system specialists, has launched an integrated range of competitively priced fire-resistant glasses.
''This unique combination of steel and glass, now enables Wright Style to provide a total glazing solution to its customers worldwide - lowering costs and significantly cutting down delivery times,'' says a spokesman for the company.
Wright Style can now supply inclusive fire-rated glazing systems for both integrity only and integrity and insulation, as defined under BS 476 Part 22, he says.
The Wright Style integrated systems use Fire-Gard or Fire-Gard Lite for integrity-only applications and WSL F-Glass for integrity and insulation. Together, they cover the complete spectrum for fire-resistance.
These glasses complement the company's extensive range of steel glazing systems which it has been successfully selling worldwide for the last five years, covering doors, windows, screens and curtain walling, the spokesman adds.
Wright Style systems and products are available direct from the company, or through Wright Style's international network of exclusive licensed fabricators -enabling the firm to provide the highest levels of quality and customer service, according to him.
"The 'one-stop- shop' approach to specialist fire-rated glazing systems has been customer-led, and greatly simplifies the ordering process," says Denis Wright, managing director. "We have listened to our customers and have produced a cost-effective and integrated glazing solution that now covers the entire spectrum of fire-rated glass and framing."
The firm's fire-resistant glass products are said to have been extensively tested in Wright Style's glazing systems, for many different applications, both in the UK and in international markets.
The integrity-only glasses, Fire-Gard and Fire-Gard Lite, are nominally 6 mm thick and rated for 60/0 and 30/0 respectively. Both are available either in a single monolithic form, or as part of a double-glazed sealed unit. No adhesives or enhanced glazing methods are required in glazing.
''Fire-Gard and Fire-Gard Lite are certified as Class A safety glasses, with a maximum tested size of 3 sq m for Fire-Gard or 3.125 sq m for Fire-Gard Lite.
''Wright Style's integrity and insulated range of WSL F-Glass comprises a double-glazed sealed unit, made up from two pieces of 5 mm toughened float glass, sandwiching a clear UV (ultraviolet) stable heat active gel. The interlayer is unaffected by climatic conditions. The overall thickness of the glass varies according to the fire rating required, and has test certification time periods of up to two hours.
''It can also incorporate any non-fire resistant glass, as part of a triple-glazed unit.
''For 30/30, 60/60 and 90/90 applications, WSL F-Glass has been tested up to 3.22 sq m, and to 2.6 sq m for 120/120 application. All WSL F-Glass is certified as a Class A safety glass, and has excellent optical and sound reduction properties," the spokesman explains.
Wright Style offers fabricator training and a full technical support service on all its range of products and systems.
