Bobcat to unveil new tandem asphalt rollers

01 September 2002

Bobcat will be unveiling its new range of tandem asphalt rollers at Rentex 2002 in Maastricht in The Netherlands this month.

Bobcat's entry into the compaction market with the addition of the new rollers will complement the market-leading range of compact equipment from the company.

Available from Bobcat dealers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the new compaction products join the wide range of products aimed at the rental sector, including Bobcat skid-steer, compact tracked, multi-steer and mini loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers and a selection of more than 50 types of attachment for use with these machines.

The new range of compact, ride-on double-drum vibratory rollers from Bobcat covers operating weights from 1.4 to 3.7 tonnes. Operators can choose front-drum vibration only, double-drum vibration or static mode.

The new rollers produce centrifugal forces ranging from 15.6 to 33.3 kN and provide the compaction necessary to achieve maximum density and smoothness in fewer passes.

The centrifugal force has been matched proportionally with the drum width to ensure maximum overall output and productivity.

It is complemented by the high vibration frequency of 47.5 Hz on all Bobcat rollers, which allows for optimum impact spacing at higher rolling speeds to provide a smooth, dense-quality, finished pavement.
