Powerscreen launches a new Warrior

01 June 2003

Powerscreen International has launched a new high-capacity, heavy-duty machine which is capable of screening, three-way splitting and stockpiling a wide variety of materials in the most difficult and demanding applications - such as face-blasted material and crushed stone, construction and demolition debris, coal, compost and topsoil.

Additionally, the heavy-duty two-bearing screenbox and a large hopper exit opening allows easy handling and processing of overlarge items, such as boulders, tree stumps and logs.

The new Warrior 1400 boasts the usual fast set-up time of under 15 minutes and the rugged low ground pressure tracks on this mobile crawler version give excellent mobility and site agility in spite of its size and optimum output potential of 400 tonnes per hour, says a spokesman for the Ireland-based company.

Weighing in at around 25 tonnes, the Warrior 1400 has compact transport dimensions; power and hydraulics are commensurate with the unit's high performance, he explains.

The spokesman continues: "One of the most flexible screening machines on the market today, the Warrior 1400 has a highly aggressive screenbox which is able to operate with finger screens, woven mesh and punch plate on both top and bottom decks - the top deck can also operate with the Bofor bar.

"Screen angles are hydraulically adjustable and the bottom deck features a speedharp or self-cleaning ball deck system. The bottom screens can be easily accessed for changing or maintenance.

"The large hopper - with Hardox steel sides and an hydraulically-folding rear door to accommodate direct feed from a crusher working in tandem - has a generous capacity and the variable speed incline feeder belt is equipped with impact bars, discharging onto the screenbox from above in order to eliminate bridging.

"All the stockpiling conveyors are oversize, hydraulically folding and angle-adjustable. The mid-size material falls directly on to the mid-product conveyor, which also features a special 'slide-up' system that allows easy access to the bottom deck meshes for cleaning, overhaul or replacement."

Optional extras on the new Warrior 1400 include an apron feeder belt, a CAT engine and a Hardox-lined screenbox.
