Dammam-based Zamil CoolCare plans to open its new branch in Dubai, UAE, in mid-July as part of the company's ambitious strategy to expand and increase its presence in the GCC to provide air conditioning equipment service and maintenance.
The company offers professional air conditioning service and maintenance. It is deemed as a pioneer in the field of air conditioning components service and maintenance for all international brands, types and sizes of air conditioners, a spokesman said.
Zamil CoolCare is a unit of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC), which includes Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC), Zamil Steel Industries and Zamil Glass Industries (ZGI). ZIIC has manufacturing units in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Vietnam, Austria and Italy.
Meanwhile, delegation of French VIPs as well as a delegation from the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) visited Zamil Air Conditioners in Dammam recently to learn how the company helps keep the extreme heat of summer in check.
Serge Boidevaix, president of the Franco Arab Chamber of Commerce and former French ambassador to many countries, led the French group that also included Bernard Poletti, France's ambassador to the Kingdom, and Francis Bouquin, commercial adviser to the French embassy.
The visitors were greeted by Hamad Abdulla Al Zamil, president of H A Al Zamil & Brothers Group, who led them on a tour of the plant.
ZAC is a leading international manufacturer of consumer and commercial air conditioning products.
Al Zamil commented: 'Zamil Air Conditioners has built a commanding position in the AC market, both in Saudi Arabia and internationally. We maintain close ties with a number of French companies, where we buy compressors and other related components. We were delighted to give our honoured guests an overview of the business and to discuss our plans for further growth in Europe.'
The dignitaries also visited Zamil Steel Industries.
The delegation from the Bahrain Society of Engineers had the opportunity to witness state-of-the-art manufacturing processes when they travelled to Dammam, as guests of ZAC and ZGI.
The fact-finding trip, attended by 25 engineers, kicked-off at the production lines of ZAC.
The visit concluded with a tour of the ZGI, which operates from one of the largest glass processing factories in the whole of the Gulf region. The factory was re-engineered last year. 'This was in response to the need for improved high performance glasses, which were not only effective against the harsh climatic conditions in the Middle East but also energy efficient and visually appealing,' explained Graham Greenberg, head of sales and marketing.
