Germany-based Kaeser Kompressoren boasts an impressive product range that includes screw and reciprocating compressors, boosters, refrigeration dryers, vacuum packages, blowers, air treatment plants, pneumatic tools, air accessories, compressor controllers and portable compressors.
The company that entered the manufacturing business in 1919 as a small engineering workshop for car and engine parts has, through the years, evolved into a modern manufacturing facility that is ably assisted by a 2,500-member-strong workforce worldwide.
Eight decades later, the company founded by Carl Kaeser markets its products in over 90 countries via an effective network of subsidiaries, branches and agencies. The business has been handed down from father to son and is now into the third generation of the Kaeser family, headed by Thomas Kaeser.
Apart from its 120,000 sq m manufacturing facility at its headquarters in Coburg, Germany, Kaeser has a compressor manufacturing facility also at Coburg and plants in Gera, Germany and Lyon, France.
'All the manufacturing facilities of Kaeser are ISO9001 and 14001 certified and house state-of-the-art production machinery and quality control procedures. The main plant in Coburg has a high-quality logistics centre and has begun work on the development and construction of a 21st century R&D (research and development) centre,' claims a company spokesman.
'This R&D unit will employ compressed air technology experts, bringing in the highest standard of technical know-how in the development of compressors to meet the ever-changing demands of the world market. This takes into consideration the commercial trends, environmental changes, infrastructure requirements and further developments in technology of the regional markets,' he adds.
The company claims that the development of the Kaeser patented - Sigma profile - air end, in 1975, has enabled both its mobile and stationary screw compressors to run with energy-saving features. In the late 90s, Kaeser further moved ahead with the intelligent computerised controller feature called Sigma Control, which is incorporated in all industrial screw compressors. According to Kaeser, this ensures the possibility of remote operation and diagnosis of its compressors via Teleservice.
The mobile compressor market is handled via a carefully selected dealer network located in most major cities within the Middle East region. In the Middle East, the regional office of Kaeser Kompressoren (covering the GCC, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan) is based in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.
