Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has awarded the Dh245 million ($66.7 million) EPC contract of Kharg Island gas gathering and NGL recovery project to Abu Dhabi-based Gulf Piping Company (GPC) and Iran’s Petrochemical Industries Design and Engineering Company (Pidec).

The EPC contract involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, pre commissioning, transportation to offshore, installation, hook-up and commissioning of the project.
The contract will enable IOOC to gather gas from Bahregansar, Nowrooz, Sorrosh and Aboozar offshore fields and transport the gas to the newly built NGL facilities on Kharg Island.
