German office furniture specialist Voko Off Net Group, pleased with the response it has received at the recent Big 5 show in Dubai last month, is eagerly looking forward to cash in on the several enquiries it received during the show.
The company, which put on display its latest room-partitioning system ‘IQm Office’ to an enthusiastic public at the show, says that the response to the stand was overwhelming – giving a clear indication of the demand for the company’s systems in the regional market.
“How important an issue flexibility of interior space organisation is today, became evident by the numerous visitors of the Voko stand,” says CEO Volker Flick.
“During peak time we wished, we had double the number of personnel,” states Flick, who had a staff of seven personnel handling to the demands of the visitors to the company’s stand.
“The interest was overwhelming and we could convince our visitors of the high quality and innovative strength of our products. I think we are looking forward to very busy months.”
Participating in the biggest construction event of the Gulf region, Voko also benefited from the fact that it was the only office furniture producer at the show.
“The show helped us acquire a better understanding on the demands of the local market,” says Flick. “Many visitors were looking not only for products and services regarding the shell construction but were also seeking for integrated solutions which relate to interior design.”
Besides its range of office furniture, Voko also promoted innovative room-partitioning systems, highlighting it with special events such as a technical seminar and live demonstrations at its stand.
IQm Office
The Voko IQm Office is a completely modular partitioning system, which offers to the customer, crucial advantages to conventional partitioning solutions. The new technology of IQm Office allows for completely flexible and reversible room-high interior partition systems. The core feature of the system is a spring mechanics support, which is tensed between floor and ceiling, elaborates a company spokesman.
Thanks to innovative technology, All Voko IQm Office components are attached to the building and basic construction in such a way, that you can displace, remove, or replace it by other functional elements. And that pays-off also in terms of fiscal advantages, he says.
In addition, the integration of the entire building’s service engineering – lighting, climate, data networks, and intelligent building control – into the IQm Office components allows for change of use without much fuss.
Ceiling
The IQm Office ceiling is a rail system, which is compatible with all standard ceiling suspension systems. The versatile, standard attachment system provides for hinge grid mounting even under difficult construction conditions and a precise height adjustment.
In addition to the attachment of the IQm Office wall, the IQm Office ceiling rail also serves for the mounting of vertical ceiling partitions for sound absorption and fire protection.
Wall
A core feature of the system is a multi-functional, galvanised support system, into which the spring mechanics for the ceiling attachment are integrated. This guarantees high stability and the attachment of construction loads. The supports, which are open on one side for the optimisation of sound absorption and fire protection, have wide openings for the horizontal cable routing and organisation slots, which can be used for the attachment of office furnishing parts.
“A variety of wall components – glass elements, doors, attachment profiles to the building – provide for the optimal adjustment to each constructional requirement. The vertical organisation slots within the system supports also allows for attachment of cabinet and organisational elements,” he concludes.
