Saudi Arabia-based paint manufacturer Raghadan – which marked 30 years of successful operations last year – is on a mission to further increase awareness about its range through promoting its products at the Saudi Building and Interiors Exhibition (SBIE), Jeddah, to be followed by the Buildex Exhibition in Damascus, Syria.
The company will promote its products at Stand 550 at the SBIE expo that will be held from April 17 to 21. Subsequently, it will also participate in Buildex Exhibition between May 15 and 20 (Stand 11-E1), where it expects to unveil its new environmentally-friendly surface coating products.
The participation at Buildex will also include a live demonstration of application of the paints that are manufactured at the company’s Saudi factory under licence by Kansai Paint of Japan and other special-effect paints in coordination with San Marco of Italy,” says Dr Hisham Ali, sales and marketing director.
Last year, the company had embarked upon an ambitious expansion programme that involved the opening of new facilities as well as appointing agents in the region.
Over the same period, the company also appointed agents in Syria, Bahrain, Sudan, Kuwait and Yemen as part of its plan.
“The Syrian agent is now building what will be one of the largest paint showrooms in the world covering an area of 3,000 sq m in Damascus,” says Dr Hisham.
The company had also opened a new manufacturing facility along the Salwa Road in Doha, Qatar.
Launched in 1974, Raghadan has grown over three decades into a highly competitive player in the area of paint manufacturing. Today, the company is regarded as one of the the local largest paint manufacturers in the Arab world with two major paint factories in Riyadh and Cairo, six paint companies in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and England, 15 branches, 20 agents and around 500 distributors throughout the Arab world.
Raghadan boasts a multinational workforce of 1,000 employees and has business interests that cover the sectors of manufacturing, distribution, import, export, and supply-and-apply of paints.
“This growth has been achieved through the dedication, hard work and positive outlook of all its founding members. We have been making sure that we provide the best quality and customer service at the most competitive prices,” says Dr Hisham.
“Today, Raghadan is a name to reckon with, especially in the Gulf countries, because of the quality of its products and services. Apart from manufacturing, Raghadan is also a leading importer of paints from various well-known suppliers such as Kansai Paints from Japan, Akzo Nobel (Levis) from Belgium and Colorificio San Marco and Vernici Milesi from Italy.
“The company is also the official paint supplier and applicator for the royal families of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain and has worked in collaboration with top contractors in the kingdom,” he concludes.
