Granite Design – which launched operations in Dubai just 11 months ago offering its unique style of stone architecture – is highly pleased with the response it has received in the market and has started venturing into turnkey projects.
“Despite being new, we have created a name for ourselves within a short span. The response so far has been excellent and we will continue working towards the larger goal of transforming Dubai as one of best modern stone architecture cities,” says a spokesman for the company.
Granite Design started operations last November during the Big 5 Show, mainly focusing on stone architecture. “Among the hundreds of exhibitors at the Big 5, we were unique and exclusive as we have something different to offer,” he comments.
“The company is focusing on its vision of blending the best in ancient and modern architecture by combining the natural beauty of stone, water and wood. This is something unique for the region and we are making every effort to make it popular with developers, designers and contractors,” the spokesman adds.
He continues: “Stone architecture has always been admired from ancient times and is still popular on all the continents. However, it is rarely seen in the Middle East due to the lack of skilled artisans. Granite Design has put together a team of stone experts who are experienced in creating architectural marvels with stones in projects such as modern resorts and hotels.”
The company is currently introducing three major design variants inspired by the stone designs from Beverly Hills, Monte Carlo and Majorca. These designs comprise beautiful rough granite stones rich in quartz and minerals, which are hand-picked from Seychelles and India. The solid granite stones are 10 to 20 cm thick and designed in crazy patterns.
“It’s a 100 per cent handmade piece of architecture where no machinery is involved and could be used for applications such as interior design, exterior, cladding and landscaping,” he adds.
