Following the success of its new cubist line of planters in the markets of US and Europe, UK-based Haddonstone has launched the range in the Middle East.

Having unveiled its new range of cubical decorative stones at last year’s Big 5 show, the UK-based Haddonstone says it is already impressed by the response it has received so far.
“The Cube collection of planters is contemporary, shifting slightly from the company’s otherwise classical theme of designing,” says Jon Murray, export manager of the company.
“Haddonstone has introduced this new range of contemporary cast stone planters - combining the best of traditional craftsmanship and classic design. Currently available in block, key, puzzle, rib and strap designs, the Cube collection further enhances the company’s reputation for contemporary planters,” says Murray.
“The five compact planters have been inspired by Art Deco and Cubist styles and feature stunning geometric patterns and can be used for either outdoor or indoor use, he adds. “The Cube collection has been a great success in the US and the UK markets where it was introduced recently,” says Murray.
Apart from the Cube collection, Haddonstone’s standard designs range from fountains and obelisks to balustrading and columns, which are described as being ideal for use in projects as diverse as private residences and prestigious hotels. The company, which is currently operating from its base in the UK, says that it is also on the lookout for partners who could showcase the products in the region.
“With designs ranging from urns, troughs, fountains and statuary to balustrading, porticos, pavilions and chimney pieces, the Haddonstone Collection is renowned throughout the world,” says a company spokesman.
“In addition, the company has expanded its product range with the inclusion of the Arcadian garden features and Haddoncraft Forge.”
Set up in 1971 in East Haddon, the company has been growing steadily ever since. By 1987 the company had moved its factory to a purpose-built complex in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.
The five-acre site, which included a studio and mould shop complex together with an extensive stockyard and loading area, was later extended to provide some of the most advanced manufacturing and mould-making facilities in the country, complete with laboratory and vapour-curing facilities.
The demand for classical elements – both in landscape and architecture – has fuelled Haddonstone’s continuing expansion and it now has offices on the East and the West coast of the US, across North America, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Australasia.
Today, as one of the leading manufacturers of ornamental and architectural cast stone, Haddonstone’s collection has grown to over five hundred standard designs, with the company gaining an ever increasing reputation for its expertise in the manufacture of custom-made architectural cast stone.
“The Haddonstone collection comprises a standard range of cast stone designs and is the most comprehensive of its kind produced anywhere. Every single item is the work of highly skilled craftsmen. Pieces from the range have been chosen for the construction and renovation of some of the world's most famous buildings, including palaces, stately homes, National Trust properties, international hotels, state buildings and gardens, as well as private houses and gardens of every description. Amongst the people who regularly choose Haddonstone for their projects are leading architects, landscape designers, contractors, specfiers, interior designers and many private clients,” he concludes.
