Metso Minerals has introduced a new range of modular screen media that can be used at installations anywhere in the world.
Screen media installations generally fall into one of four key sub-frame categories and Metso Minerals is now in the unique position of producing solutions to fit virtually all, says a company spokesman. “One of these four key standards is its own patented design and so Metso will be the only one-stop-shop for all four types until these patents expire.”
“Trellex modules can now be fitted to almost any installation anywhere in the world following a major expansion of the range of screen media products available from Metso Minerals,” says the spokesman. “The popular Trellex range has been complemented with new modular components that have been designed to upgrade systems currently using other manufacturers’ standard fittings.
Trellex Modular Screening Solutions is the family name for a system that includes a full range of components. Existing successful products such as stepped modules are joined by new additions that make Metso’s range directly compatible with the other standard sub-frames used around the globe. Retrofitting is very straightforward – an easily-fitted profiled strip enables the installation to use Trellex modules.
Upgrading to Trellex Modular Screening Solutions will give considerable benefits for customers, says screening media product line manager Claes Larsson. “They will now be able to take advantage of the superior features of the Trellex range in performance and handling.”
“Having just one supplier is becoming increasingly important. Customers are starting to want a group-wide deal with a single supplier of screen cloths. They need someone who can supply all their sites, including systems made to a variety of standard designs,” Larsson adds.
“The new system has been designed with many positive features, including better performance, easy snap-on connections and an emphasis on recycling. There are extensive options, including size, aperture arrangement and a choice of lightweight rubber or polyurethane. Optional fittings are also available such as deflectors to steer the flow. All are being sold under a single brand name: Trellex,” he added.
