Bobcat has extended its range of 80 Series hydraulic breakers with the launch of the new small HB380 breaker model.
Working in the flow range from 15 to 30 l/min, the HB380 can be used on the Bobcat 319 to 323 mini-excavators with operating weights up to 1.7 tonne, says a Bobcat spokesman.
Ideal for trenching, concrete demolition and general excavation work, the new HB380 breaker features a frame with a cylindrical design, providing improved access to jobs in confined areas such as inside structures or holes.
“The HB380 breaker offers high performance and greatly reduced maintenance,” says the spokesman. “It incorporates a patented treated steel ring ‘clip’ system, which retains the bushing of the tool and protects the greasing system. This ring is easily removed with a multi-purpose tool supplied with the breaker, to release the sliding bushing and the tool instantly.
“The internal design of the HB380 breaker involves fewer moving parts and no tie rods. As a result, the breaker can be completely disassembled in less than five minutes, without the need for special tooling.
“The innovative design of the hydraulic system in the breaker provides increased efficiency, ensuring a longer working time without risk of overheating. The HB380 breaker also incorporates an effective soundproofing system, whereby the striking assembly is held top and bottom by suspension systems that are not in contact with the outer cylindrical housing.”
The HB380 shares these features with the existing 80 Series breakers, models HB580, HB680, HB880 and HB980. The latter can be used with the appropriate models from the entire Bobcat range of compact wheeled and tracked loaders from the 463 skid-steer and MT52 mini-track loader to the top-of-the-range T300 compact tracked loader and A300 all-wheel steer loader models.
In addition, the existing 80 Series breakers can be used with Bobcat excavators from the 319 mini-excavator to the new 435 model. Bobcat also offers the B1400 hydraulic breaker for use with the company’s 442 7.5 tonne and 444 12.5 tonne excavator models.
