Lowara helps solve pumping problems

Italian pumping specialist ITT Lowara offers a complete range of pumping solutions that can fully meet the demands of both residential and industrial users.

Lowara, a leading Italian manufacturer and distributor of pumping systems for water technology applications, is now offering a complete package of products and services designed for people faced with any kind of pumping problems in the residential and commercial building industry.

With this new package, Lowara – part of the ITT Industries group – confirms its determination to be a leader in the building services sector offering a quicker, easier, more rational and economical selection.
“A complete guide illustrates every subject ranging from the different types of systems available to the sizing of each single element. The guide offers numerous suggestions, including tips on what the user should not do, enabling him to find the right solution and identify the most appropriate system elements quickly and easily,” says a spokesman for the company.
“Our approach to the market, consists in enabling the user to define the pumps and booster sets he needs, along with all the aspects of the system, working in cooperation with a single partner. The elements of energy savings and system efficiency improvement may now be added to the high quality and technology that characterise our company’s products,” he adds.
Working with a single company with a complete package allows the installer to get the job done right, without the “risks” that too often occur in this type of product selection. It is a well-known fact that, if the installer does not use suppliers who can coordinate all the system elements together, and prefers to shop around in a disorganised manner using different suppliers, he often ends up with elements that do not work well together, so that starting up the system could prove to be a real problem, says the spokesman.
“But thanks to the Building Services System Manual, these uncertainties and delays have become history. The guide, written by a team of Lowara technicians, is divided into chapters containing clear and exhaustive instructions on each topic, starting from the theoretical project up to the Lowara range best suited to requirements. This is advantageous to users, as not only can they choose the most suitable products, but can also avoid installing oversized machines or neglecting important pipe fittings.
The Building Services System Manual is a qualified reference tool between installers and the ITT Lowara service network, which supports each customer, guiding him/her through the latest technological developments in the trade.

Wet rotors
Lowara has also recently expanded its range of wet rotor circulators, which has received increasing success in the market place. These pumps are designed for circulating liquids in a closed heating or air-conditioning circuit.
An important aspect of the ITT Lowara circulators is the wet rotor, with bearings lubricated by the pumped liquid and rotor chamber protected by a bronze filter. All the models are suitable for pumping hot or cold, chemically and mechanically non-aggressive liquids.
The new models of ITT Lowara circulators, feature an automatic running speed adjustment system that regulates the rotation speed based on circuit requirements. Thanks to this system, the power consumption as well as the operating noise levels is kept to a minimum. These characteristics are especially important in home installations, where energy savings and low noise are essential for modern systems. The range includes the following:
• The TCR series for the residential sector, designed for water circulation applications in heating and air-conditioning systems;
• The TCB-TCS series for the residential sector, designed for sanitary hot water circulation applications;
• The new TC-FC series for the civil and industrial sectors, designed for water circulation applications in heating, air-conditioning and cooling systems. A motor with two or three speeds (depending on the model) with a manual selector switch is used;
• The ETCR series for the residential, civil and industrial sectors, designed for water circulation applications in heating and air-conditioning systems. This uses a two-pole motor with automatic running speed adjustment according to system requirements; and
• The ETC-EFC series for the civil and industrial sectors, designed for water circulation applications in heating and cooling systems. A three-phase motor with inverter featuring a selector switch for mode and operating parameter setting, plus display is used. The automatic adjustment through a single selector switch setting ensures considerable energy savings and reduced operating noise levels.
Founded in 1968, and based in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy, ITT Lowara provides advanced solutions and technologies, whether it has to do with water supply, heating, air-conditioning, wastewater treatment or irrigation systems. The company’s pumps are manufactured to meet the requirements of AISI 304 and 316 fabricated stainless steel that covers many applications from water to some chemical compositions, he concludes.
