German shower specialist Hansgrohe aims to set new standards in terms of both price and performance with its Croma 100 shower collection which has been designed by Phoenix Design’s studios in Stuttgart and Tokyo.
“The 100-mm spray disc of the new Croma 100 hand shower series with its pleasingly broad, generous shower of rain provides for more showering pleasure to the consumer,” says Lina Varytimidou, spokesperson for Hansgrohe Middle East, Africa and India. “All sorts of showering needs are taken into account with the wide variety of functions. For instance, the Croma 100 Multi hand shower offers individually tailored showering options with three different spray modes – from a soft shower to the powerful pulsating massage spray to the crisp mono spray.
In comparison, the spray intensity of the Croma 100 Vario hand shower can be controlled in four different settings, from a soft spray to the invigorating massage.
“Limescale doesn’t stand a chance, thanks to the proven Rubit anti-limescale function. Should limescale still start to develop, it can easily be rubbed off the elastic silicone nozzle heads with just a finger,” she adds.
The Croma 100 shower line offers variety for any bathroom. The range of products extends from flexible hand showers and permanently installed head showers to shower-and-thermostat sets to the new, attractive Croma 100 shower panel.
“The height adjustable hand shower and three additional side showers with invigorating massage spray provide endless shower fun. With its slim aluminium profile and high-quality detailing in chrome, the Shower panel fits every shower cabin in terms of both space and looks. What’s more, the Shower panel can be installed easily in existing bathrooms. The slim panel offers total showering pleasure, thanks to three embedded, flat-body sprays. Its elegant look, the comfortable single-lever mixer tap, and the practical storage area for shower items make the Croma 100 shower panel a persuasive attraction for every size bathroom, especially considering its price,” Varytimidou says.
As for design, the new Croma 100 hand shower demonstrates exceptional adaptability, she points out. “Spartan in appearance but generous in functionality, this shower with its high-quality chrome finish catches the eye with its clean, timeless lines that suit any bathroom style. The large showerhead, the ultra-flat contouring, and the elongated, narrow handle blend into familiarly harmonious proportions reminiscent of the archetype of the good old-fashioned hand shower. This is a timeless design that was honoured with the renowned 2006 Red Dot Design Award,” she adds.
The product was showcased at the Big 5 exhibition in Dubai last month alongside other award-winning lines such as the Raindance Rainfall.
Raindance Rainfall
Developed in collaboration with partners from Phoenix Design (Stuttgart & Tokyo), Raindance Rainfall is the first horizontal, multifunctional shower panel in the world with a torrent spray mode – a totally new archetype for head showers. Mounted flush against the wall without the clamping arm typical of conventional head showers, the extremely flat, rectangular panel projects into the space, captivating with its elegantly slim form and subdued styling.
With three different spray modes that can be conveniently adjusted directly on the corresponding wall fittings, the Raindance Rainfall simultaneously creates a completely new way to shower.
“There is likely no better place to experience the natural power and vitality of water than under a waterfall,” says a spokesman for Hansgrohe.“It is through understanding this elemental, sensually-invigorating feeling of bathing under tropical cascades of water in the home bathroom that the inspiration behind the development of the novel Hansgrohe head shower Raindance Rainfall was born.
“Raindance Rainfall truly stands for the enjoyment of water in its most natural forms,” says the spokesman. “This is ensured primarily by the 170 mm-wide concentrated torrent spray Rain Splash gushing out of the showerhead like a deluge in the great outdoors.
“The voluminous aerated Rain AIR also flows generously from the 240 mm spray disc in the front part of the shower. The large distance from the wall guarantees ample freedom of movement, allowing the downpour effect to be savoured to the fullest. The four powerful rotating whirl-massage sprays, which automatically swivel forward when turned on, massaging the body over a broad area like a powerful downpour, are also quite impressive. When the function is switched over or turned off, the nozzles swing back into their original position with the same precision, becoming practically invisible inside the even surface of the shower.”
Hansgrohe is a premium brand for showers, bathroom and kitchen mixers as well as thermostat and drainage technology within the international association that makes up the Hansgrohe Group.
