Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Bahar, the exclusive dealer for Caterpillar in the region, recently unveiled the Cat 14M, which forms part of the new Caterpillar M-Series motor graders, at a ceremony in Dubai, the UAE, marking the Middle East launch of these powerful machines.

The new stylish Cat 14M, claimed to be the world’s most advanced motor grader, is one of the most significant new products by Caterpillar recently and was introduced during a grand ceremony at the Emirates Golf Course attended by Al Bahar’s key clients in the region.
Al Bahar’s UAE area manager Ashfaque Azad, who was instrumental in putting together the event, kicked off the proceedings with a welcome speech and handed over the mike to Peter Walters, core and growth industry (CGI) manager at Caterpillar’s Dubai District Office, to introduce the new motor grader to the gathering.
With Al Bahar’s demonstrator Laurence Rego in the cab, Walters explained the new features of the 14M motor grader and compared it with the popular 14H that was also on display. Through a short demonstration, Rego expertly worked the new joystick controls of the 14M, showing each of its hydraulic functions to customers, who were clearly impressed at the breakthrough in grader technology,.
Customers were invited inside the display area to have a closer look at the 14M and were also encouraged to get into the cab in order to better understand the new technology. Sales engineers from Al Bahar, fresh from product training a few days before the event, further explained the features and benefits to clients and answered their queries.
At the conclusion of the event, marketing manager of Al Bahar Sudhir Tripathi said: “Looking at the numbers after the event, most of the units coming into stock over the next few months have been sold. It’s a tribute not just to a well-organised event but also to our customers’ trust in Caterpillar and Al Bahar.”
With mega projects comprising of hundred of kilometres of roadwork planned in the region, several M-Series graders are expected to be put into service by contractors in the Middle East.
