A new terminal has been inaugurated at Madinah’s Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz International Airport (PMIA). The facility is believed to be the first Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certified airport terminal outside of the US and the first in the Mena (Middle East and North Africa) region.






Saudi Arabia has launched five giant projects that are to be implemented as part of the third expansion of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.






Spanish group Isolux Corsan said its joint venture with Turkish group Kolin Insaat Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret and Saudi Arabian company Haif has been named preferred bidder for the €2.3-billion ($2.59 billion) contract for the construction of lines B and C of the Makkah Metro.

Authorities at King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Dammam have signed a deal to establish and run a private aviation terminal with XP Jet America, according to a report. The project is expected to be completed in about two years, said the Arab News report.






Saudi Arabia’s Haramain High-Speed Railway network has been connected with electricity for its overhead lines and is expected to link King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and Madinah at the end of this year, said a top official.






Sudair to host logistics centre The Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Modon) has signed a deal with Dar Al Bandar International Trading for the establishment of an integrated 150,000-sq-m warehouse centre at Sudair City for Industry and Business,  according to a report.
