A $1-billion Warner Bros theme park will open in 2018 at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. The park will include the world’s first Warner Bros branded hotel. Construction is already under way and rides are in production, said Miral, a developer of destinations in Abu Dhabi, and Warner Bros.






UAE-based Aldar Properties has launched a Dh6-billion ($1.63 billion) golf and waterfront development at Yas Island, its largest project to date. Yas Acres will boast 1,315 villas which will be available for purchase by all nationalities.

Bloom Properties unveiled the fourth phase of its Bloom Gardens last month and 90 per cent of the new homes were snapped up by investors within a week of their launch. The latest phase, Faya, comprises 132  homes. Three previous phases of the project contain a total of 325 villas.

Dubai-based Radiant Star says that work on Riah Towers, its Dh325-million ($88.5 million) freehold development, is nearing completion and will be ready for handover in the fourth quarter of 2016. Located at Dubai Culture Village, the 17-storey tower comprises 156 residential units and four commercial spaces.






Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) launched the final stage of bidding for the third phase of the Dh50-billion ($13.6 billion) Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park by hosting a conference for interested developers last month.

Dewa plans substations for expo Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) is building three 132/11 kilovolt (kV) substations with 45 km of high-voltage (132kV) cables in support of the World Expo 2020 in Dubai. The total cost of projects will be Dh420 million ($114.32 million) and the substations will be ready by 2017.






Leading developer Tilal Properties is studying proposals for two new projects worth Dh3 billion ($816 million) in Sharjah, according to a report. The first project will comprise housing units, while the second one will be an industrial city, the company’s director general Khalifa Al Shaibani was quoted as saying by the Mubasher news website.
