Saudi Aramco said it has signed an agreement with French energy major Total to build a giant petrochemical complex at Jubail, Saudi Arabia, at a total investment of $9 billion.






Saudi Arabia and SoftBank Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to build the world’s largest solar project in the kingdom at an investment of $200 billion, said a report. SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son unveiled the project last month in New York at a ceremony with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reported Bloomberg.






 Assa Abloy conducted a seminar in Saudi Arabia with Universal Building Materials Merchants (UBM), its strategic partner in the kingdom, to promote its door opening solutions, increase awareness of the brand and launch new products.






Doosan Portable Power (DPP) has won an order worth €2 million ($2.42 million) for portable compressors in Saudi Arabia. The compressors have been purchased by Jeddah-based rental business EJAR through Tamgo, the authorised dealer for Doosan compressors, lighting towers and construction tools in Saudi Arabia.






Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud laid the foundation stone last month for the kingdom’s new recreational, sports and cultural hub, the Saudi Press Agency reported.  The project, expected to be the largest tourist destination in the region,  will be built in Qiddiya area, some 40 km west of Riyadh.






AES Arabia, a Riyadh-based water treatment company, has won the Industrial Desalination Plant of the Year award at the Global Water Awards in Paris, France, in recognition of the company’s achievement in delivering the largest desalination plant in the world for the oil and gas sector.






Vox Cinemas to open 600 screens MAJID Al Futtaim has announced plans to open 600 new Vox Cinemas screens across Saudi Arabia over the next five years at an investment of SR2 billion ($533 million).
