Saudi Build exhibition ends on high note

Saudi Build exhibition 2016, the largest construction show in the kingdom, wrapped up its 2016 activities at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, with more than 530 local, regional and international exhibitors from more than 30 countries, headed by 12 national pavilions, having taken part in the four-day event.
The 28th edition of the UFI-accredited exhibition was recently held along with Saudi Stone-Tech 2016, the 19th International Stone and Stone Technology Exhibition and the Saudi build PMV series, the seventh International Exhibition for Construction Equipment, Plant, Machinery and Vehicles.
The expo witnessed a solid visitor turnout - from businessmen, decision makers, government officials to construction specialists, decision makers and professionals seeking the latest technologies, services and products in the construction field, said the organiser Riyadh Exhibitions Company.
It featured a wide range of products, services and technologies related to construction from finishing products, construction techniques, construction material, external solutions, equipment, construction vehicles to consultancy services.
On the other hand, the exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the show in terms of the strategic position it holds and the importance of the role it plays in promoting the partnerships between local and international companies which drives sustainability, it stated.
The exhibition offered huge business opportunities for its participants and witnessed the signing of several large-scale business deals.
The construction sector is one of the largest economic sectors in the kingdom, where the total number of companies operating in the building and construction field add up to 243,000 companies, said the organiser.
Saudi Build exhibition has succeeded in gathering the different key players of this sector under one roof to discuss the challenges and opportunities for huge construction projects in the kingdom, it added.
Shahid Bhatti, the exhibition project manager, said: "The importance of Saudi Build 2016 exhibition lies in highlighting the development of the fastest growing sector in the kingdom, and bringing together the public and private sectors. The success that this exhibition has achieved throughout the years has been positively reflected in the increase of the number of International, regional and local participations this year."
