DBWC to host 'Power Women of Arabia' debate

Some of the most powerful women in business, government, philanthropy, culture and society will come together to discuss issues related to women in leadership, empowerment, entrepreneurship and the role of women in society.
The 'Power Women of Arabia' debate will be held on October 28 at The Address Hotel Marina, siad the statement.
The first two panels will be moderated by Becky Anderson, CNN anchor, and Dr Essam Tamimi founder of Tamimi and Co, it said.
Dr Raja Al Gurg, president of the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), said: “This event aims at opening the dialogue of women in leadership and their contributions to the socio-economic landscape in the region.
"The DBWC has put in place several initiatives towards empowering women in the Emirates as well as supporting their journey as active members of society.”
Jooris, chief executive officer and editor-in-chief of Leaders Middle East, added: “We are extremely excited about hosting this event. The idea of a Debate is to allow for a more open way of presenting ideas, and what a better way to do it than with such a good topic as 'Power Women in Arabia'."
Some of the panelists will include Lana Mamkegh, the Minister of Culture of Jordan; Dr Al Gurg; Dr Amina Al Rustamani, CEO, Tecom Investments; and Sheikha Zain Al Sabah, Minister of Youth of Kuwait. - TradeArabia News Service
