The campaign's primary goal is to raise awareness about childhood cancer in various segments of the Bahraini society, coinciding with September, a month dedicated to global childhood cancer awareness.
This launch took place at a significant event organised by ‘Smile’ at its headquarters. The event was attended by notable figures such as Enas Al Majid, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development, as well as representatives from government hospitals, healthcare centers, and sponsors from the National Bank of Bahrain, Ahli Bank, Jahez, and the marketing partner ‘Interact’, among others.

The tour also introduced them to various halls within the headquarters designed for educational, artistic, recreational, gaming, and other activities.
Sabah Al-Zayani, Chairman of the Bahrain Future Society for Youth, explained that the campaign's objective is to boost the active involvement of Bahrain in raising awareness about childhood cancer locally, regionally and globally. It aims to garner support for children battling this disease and contribute to worldwide efforts aimed at controlling its spread. This will be achieved through ongoing advancements in scientific research for prevention and treatment.
Al Zayani said the ‘Smile’ initiative's strong commitment to actively collaborate with all pertinent stakeholders in the healthcare sector. This collaboration extends to the Ministry of Health, government and private hospitals, healthcare centers, as well as support from private sector companies and volunteers from civil society organisations, programmes, and teams. He highlighted that the collective unity of everyone involved has consistently played a crucial role in the campaign's success and in achieving its objectives to the fullest extent possible.
