The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (Danat) showcased its cutting edge technology and scientific know-how behind Danat’s Pearl & Gemstone Testing Laboratory at the recent Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.

This is Danat’s fourth participation at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, which attracted the participation of specialized exhibitors from over 50 countries and received a footfall of over 50,000 visitors this year. The event was held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong.

Danat featured one of the largest and most unique booths at the show attracting a great number of visitors and clients. The institute extended its services to provide comprehensive on-site pearl and gemstone testing.

Those visiting the booth enjoyed the rare opportunity of witnessing the operations of a gemological laboratory and Danat’s experts at work testing pearls, gemstones and jewellery. The on-site testing services for gemstones and pearls were in high demand with Danat being the only laboratory to provide the latter service during the show.

Danat utilized the platform to promote its wide range of educational courses while highlighting Bahrain’s rich pearling history. The laboratory goes further by nurturing future generations’ interest in the field by offering highly specialized programmes in the region.
