Compaction plates high on performance

01 May 2009

Dynapac has launched a new series of LF forward compaction plates with unique features for improved speed, flexibility and performance.

The plates are easily converted for soil or asphalt applications. A specially-engineered bottom plate and unique system for water distribution without pipes or sprinklers provide unequalled results for all types of asphalt jobs, says a spokesman for the Sweden-base manufacturer.
The Dynapac LF series, specially engineered for asphalt applications, comprises three models between 75 and 100 kg, available with a number of options to customise the plates. The new compaction plates are approximately 20 per cent faster than their predecessors, he says.
“The Dynapac LF75, LF80 and LF100 plates are easily convertible from the soil to asphalt version, simply by ‘hooking’ on a water tank. The large removable water tank allows longer shift operation, quicker refill and more output per day,” he explains.
The LF 75 (weight class 75 kg) is available with either a Honda or a Robin engine and is offered in two different plate widths: 420 or 500 mm. The LF80 (weight class 80 kg), also available with Honda or Robin engine, has a working width of 420 mm.  The LF100 (weight class 100 kg) is available with three different petrol or diesel  engine options   and features a 500 mm-wide bottom plate.
“With Dynapac’s new LF-series the entire bottom plate’s contact surface is watered uniformly. The secret is a unique patented water distribution system, integrated into the bottom plate – which means no pipes, and no sprinklers to clean. The water consumption is easily optimisd by means of a flow adjustment valve, easily reached by the operator,” he continues.
A large removable water tank, with a secured cap, makes refills swift, simple and less frequent, he adds.
