01 August 2009
EXPO Build China 2009 closed with a success in spite of the global economy crisis, with more than 66,000 trade visitors from 110 countries visiting the event which was held alongside the Hotelex and China Clean shows.
More than 450 national and international exhibitors exhibited on more than 45,000 sq m at the four-day event held at Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre from March 31 to April 3.
Most of the exhibitors confirmed that the quality of the visitors had improved. Visitors mainly including contractors, real estate developers, hotel developers, bar and restaurant owners, architects and interior designers were on the look-out for the latest trends and product innovations as well as comprehensive and premium design solutions.
Visitors came from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines as well as South America, Hong Kong, Canada, Italy and Germany. Overseas visitors were flat compared with last year and had a share of almost 10 per cent of the total visitors.
“Expo Build established itself as the only exposition in East Asia for premium design and solutions for the building and ceramics industry,” says the spokesman for the event.
Together, Hotelex, China Clean Expo, and Expo Build China forms a ‘three-show-on-one’ concept, hosting over 1,800 exhibitors.
Organisers say they will continue to offer more such kind of events and conferences in the 18th edition of Expo Build China to be held from March 29 to April 1 next year at Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
