Haulotte reaches new heights

Haulotte Group says that with its Compact 14, the company has become the first full-range manufacturer worldwide to cater to the warehousing segment’s requirements for machines that offer higher reaches.
“Warehouses are increasing in height due to storage costs and lack of space. So there is a growing demand for machines that can be used inside warehouses for working on racking systems for inventories and for building maintenance,” says a spokesman for the European manufacturer.
The Compact 14, a lightweight and compact 14 m electric scissor is a solution to these requirements, according to Haulotte Group. By adding 2 m of working height to the electric scissor, Compact 14 has extended the racking possibilities as it is able to reach the upper shelves. In terms of maintenance, the machine can reach higher ceilings, he adds.
The unit is also easy to manoeuvre, enabling tasks to be done more quickly as it can be driven at full height with no need to descend to drive from one point to another.
“With a width of 1.2 m and folding handrails, Compact 14 is very compact. Thanks to its lightweight of 3,170 kg, fuel consumption is reduced during transport,” he says. “Compact 14 is also user-friendly, which is a well-recognised characteristic of Haulotte building machines. It is very comfortable, thanks to its smooth steering system and its progressive movements.”
Haulotte Group develops machines keeping in mind the safety of users, says the spokesman. The pothole protection, the load management system in the platform and two-way tilt controller ensures the safety in use of Compact 14, he adds.
The Haulotte Group, considered to be the world number three among producers of aerial work platforms, offers a comprehensive range of more than 60 models, thanks to its focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the spokesman concludes.
