BAHRAIN’S Haji Ali Haji Company says the recently-concluded gulfBID exhibition provided a perfect platform to create awareness about the latest developments within the company, particularly the recent launch of its new switchgear manufacturing facility.

The electrical and building materials company says the event proved to be a resounding success, with a raft of new enquiries received from visitors to its exhibition stand.
“Our objective was to raise our profile in general, while promoting our new local switchgear manufacturing facility, which opened at the beginning of this year,” says Ahmed Al Jaffari, business development manager. “Additionally, we also introduced the user-friendly Eubiq electrical socket range to the local market, for which we are the sole agent in Bahrain.”
Singapore-headquartered Eubiq aims to become the world leader in the new-generation of power outlet systems. Among the products offered by the company are the GSS track-based and ultra-flexible power outlet system, and a range of modular, ultra-compact, power and data and cable management track systems.
According to Al Jaffari, visitor numbers have grown considerably since the 2008 gulfBID event, which was the last time Haji Ali Haji participated. “We received many quality enquiries at the expo, which has also witnessed a considerable enhancement in the calibre of both visitors and exhibitors.”
Its ISO 9001:2008-certified switchgear factory opened early this year in line with the company’s plans to expand its electrical division and thereby enter into the manufacture of electrical panels. The company is an authorised panel manufacturer for LS components from Korea.
The factory produces a wide range of switchgear and panels to meet all industrial and residential needs in the market. Some of them are busbar chambers, SPN and TPN distribution boards, metal isolators with enclosures, changeover switches with enclosures, cable trays and trunking, low-voltage (LV) switchgear panels and non-standard panels tailored to client requirements.
Haji Ali Haji, which specialises in manufacturing lighting, industrial and switchgear products, also supplies components such as MCCBs (moulded case circuit breakers), distribution boards and metal isolators, MCBs (mini circuit breakers) and air circuit breakers.
Set up 75 years ago, Haji Ali Haji is a wholesale supplier offering high-quality products from various countries in Europe, the Middle East, India and the Far East, besides Russia, Australia and New Zealand. Apart from its new manufacturing venture, it has three main divisions, namely building materials, electrical materials and home appliances and also operates a service centre.
Its growth has been characterised by significant expansion that resulted in the establishment of subsidiaries under the name Haji Commercial Company (HCC) in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE and in Doha, Qatar. The company says it is focused on providing quality products and services to its clients at affordable prices and backed by customer care.
