Leister unveils an intelligent welder

01 November 2011

LEISTER Process Technologies, a global leader in the field of plastic welding and hot-air blowers, has boosted its portfolio of products with the launch of another high-quality hot air tool for welding.

The new Triac AT is a sophisticated, intelligent tool for welding and shrinking plastic. Featuring an ergonomic design, secure handling and a modern look, it is designed for the needs of even the most demanding professional, says Mark Leo Irac, a spokesman for the UAE-based BMC Gulf, Leister’s exclusive sales and service partner for the Middle East.

Thanks to its “e-Drive”, the new Triac AT comes with an operating unit that is not only advanced but easy to use. The turning button located behind the easy-grip housing allows all required functions to be set without any difficulty.

Its large display ensures that information is clearly visible and distinct. Advanced electronics ensure that the temperature adjusts automatically, while the air volume can be set independently. The temperature probe, located in front of the heating element, enables the greatest precision.

“The high-quality hot air tool is equipped for any use. Its universal areas of application are virtually unlimited,” says the spokesman, adding that the Triac AT can be used both on the roof, in civil engineering, for billboards and tarpaulins, for plastic floors, in plastic fabrication as well as for shrinking. It proves its merit in any weather, and is just as effective outside on the building site as it is indoors, he adds.

“As with all Leister units, every Triac AT undergoes stringent quality checks before leaving the factory in Switzerland. It is supplied in a practical yet sturdy carrying case. Inside, there is easily enough space for the appropriate Leister accessories,” Irac says.

Leister is a long-established Swiss company and a global leader in the fields of plastic welding and hot-air blowers for more than 60 years. It not only offers a varied selection of welding devices and accessories, but is also equipped with extensive know-how in the processing of plastic and has been developing innovative and effective laser systems and pioneering microsystems for many years.

All Leister products are developed and produced in Switzerland, with about 95 per cent of production exported. The company has, therefore, established an extensive network of sales and service centres throughout the world to ensure competent service.

BMC Gulf is a leader in high-quality plastic welding technology in the Middle East. Through strategic cooperation with European partners, the company serves the local market with, pipes, fittings and valves made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) and ECTFE (ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene), as well as welding machines and equipment for thermoplastic welding.
