AL FUTTAIM Motors, the exclusive distributor of Hino products in the UAE, has unveiled the new-generation Hino 300 Series light-duty truck in Dubai.
The light-duty truck, now available in the market, is the first in the UAE to offer automatic transmission and has been completely redesigned to provide improved drivability, aerodynamics, vision, cabin ergonomics, comfort, convenience, ease of maintenance and vehicle safety.
The Hino 300 features a total revamp after 12 years of its first development, and has been developed as a “global model” designed to be a “perfect fit” for all Middle East markets.
“We are introducing this exciting new model to all Middle East countries at the same time,” says Koichi Ojima, senior managing director of Hino Motors, adding that Hino considers the UAE to be one of its biggest and most important markets.
Ojima says the new Hino 300 Series is designed to reflect quality, durability and reliability, in common with medium and heavy-duty trucks. “I strongly believe it will satisfy the needs of demanding customers in this country,” he states.

Hino Motors executive officer Hideyuki Kakizawa comments: “The Hino 300 Series light-duty trucks are made in Japan and reflect a unique development concept based on ‘your reliable partner’ formula for success. For owners, it means durability and reliability; for drivers it is synonymous with easy maintenance; and for SMEs (small and medium enterprises), it stands for profitability.”
The Hino 300 Series will be available in the UAE in three different cab variations – the newly remodelled wide cab, packaged to meet the needs of city driving; the double-crew cab, suitable for carrying additional passengers; and the standard cab, suitable for navigation through tight spaces.

He says that with the introduction of the six-speed automatic transmission in combination with a 150 hp engine, Hino will be the first and only Japanese truckmaker to offer a full automatic gear with a powerful environment-friendly engine that meets Euro 3 emissions ratings in the Middle East . “This new feature is appreciated by our customers and will definitely reflect positively on the demand,” he adds.

The new Hino 300 Series truck is manufactured in Hamura plant in Tokyo, Japan, where Hino produces Toyota’s best-selling SUVs Prado and FJ cruiser while using high level of reliability through the Toyota production system.
