Assa Abloy wireless technology a huge draw

01 March 2012

ASSA Abloy Access Control Middle East said its wireless on-line technology for access control systems, Aperio, was a hit at Intersec, a leading security solutions fair for the Middle East, which was held in Dubai, UAE, in January.

Iain MacKenzie, the vice-president of Assa Abloy Middle East, said: “It was very important to focus on Aperio to ensure we delivered the right communication message to our target audience. This we achieved and local system integrators were particularly impressed with the Aperio technology and the solutions it provides”.

The profile of visitors who visited the Assa Abloy stand emphasised the importance of the exhibition as a regional showcase event with 25 per cent of the enquiries coming from Saudi Arabia and 40 per cent from other parts of the Gulf region.

In addition to Assa Abloy’s stand, Aperio was also showcased at the partner system integrator stands, highlighting its adaptability and opportunities for integration.

As a final accolade for the Dubai Aperio team, Assa Abloy won the Best Stand Design Award. MacKenze said: “Winning the award was a bonus. We created the stand design brief in Dubai, tailoring it to local needs.”

The Burj Khalifa-shaped trophy was presented to MacKenzie and Irshad Pasha, Assa Abloy Aperio business development manager Middle East, at the Dubai Creek Golf Course by Andreas Rex of Epoc Messe Frankfurt, Intersec’s organiser, and the judges.
