Damac launches golf community project

01 June 2013

DAMAC Properties, the largest private developer of luxury real estate in the Middle East, has launched Akoya by Damac, a 28-million-sq-ft master development in Dubailand.

Located off Umm Sequim Road, Akoya by Damac will be a luxurious golf community, with premium branded mansions, villas, townhouses and luxurious apartment units.

In addition to a spa, boutique hotels and international schools from kindergarten to secondary level, the project will include an 18-hole PGA championship golf course at the heart of the development. The golf course will be named Trump International Golf Club, Dubai, and will include a 30,000-sq-ft state-of-the-art club house and a luxurious Trump Spa and wellness centre, which will be managed to the highest standards by the Trump Organisation.

The 7,205-yard, par 71 golf course will be located at the heart of the masterplan development.

“By collaborating with Donald Trump, we are bringing the most elite name in golf and international luxury real estate to Dubai,” said Hussein Sajwani, chairman of Damac Properties.

All elements of Trump International Golf Club, Dubai, will reflect the white glove standard and luxury expected of both Trump and Damac Properties. The expansive club house, which will be the largest of its kind in Dubai, sits proudly over the 9th and 18th greens, with luxurious changing rooms, spectacular amenities and world-class service, taking care of the every need of its members and guests.

Akoya by Damac will be a fully integrated community that will also include globally recognised retail brands, leisure and entertainment offerings, a sports complex and beautifully manicured landscaping throughout.

Akoya by Damac which takes its name from one of the most exclusive pearls in the world, will create a thriving living environment aimed at meeting the demand of those living and working in Dubai and the region, as well as those holidaying there. The project will include distinctive architecture, lush landscaping and unrivalled five-star service.

The development will be the largest project by size and scale ever launched by Damac Properties, further confirming the stabilisation and upturn in Dubai’s real estate market.

The purchase of land from Dubailand, a popular district of Dubai that includes entertainment, sporting, shopping and residential communities, has been completed and all required paperwork has been received.

The development also includes a high-tech golf training academy and four international-standard tennis courts.

“We aim to make Akoya by Damac the most desirable living environment in Dubai for aspirational professionals who recognise ultimate luxury,” said Sajwani. “The development will bring a blend of high-end, five-star living, with unrivalled facilities and create a haven for families looking to make Dubai their home.”
