TDIC signs up MAF Dalkia

MAF Dalkia, a regional leader in providing multi-technical and energy management services, has been selected by Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) to support Abu Dhabi’s exclusive mixed-use development – the prestigious Eastern Mangroves.

Under this three-year contract, MAF Dalkia will incorporate energy-saving principles in addition to providing a diverse range of technical services, enabling TDIC to operate the project as a world-class residential, retail and lifestyle destination.

MAF Dalkia’s scope of work for the Eastern Mangroves will cover all developments within the wider site to include mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services, asset management and help desk services.

Furthermore, MAF Dalkia will be running a dedicated energy centre featuring a 6,000 TR (tons of refrigeration) district cooling plant.

 

Gulf Extrusions wins green award

GULF Extrusions, a leading global manufacturer of extruded aluminium products, has received the Green Industry Award 2013 in the large industry category from Dubai Municipality.

The award specifically acknowledged Gulf Extrusions’ high-impact environmental initiatives through its environment management system and waste management practices. Last year, Gulf Extrusions received the inaugural Gulf Aluminium Council (GAC) Environmental Awards 2012 under the downstream aluminium companies category, in recognition of the company’s focus on innovation and leadership to achieve sustainable environmental performance and for lowering stack emissions. The company has also been focusing heavily on reducing waste through recycling. 

 

Musanada to use Proliance software

TRIMBLE said that the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) will implement Proliance capital program and management software from Meridian Systems, part of the Trimble Buildings Group.

Musanada, responsible for delivering shared services for Abu Dhabi government entities (ADGEs), manages the design, procurement and construction of projects for the Abu Dhabi government. It will implement Proliance software to improve the management of design, construction and infrastructure projects throughout the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The use of Proliance will help stakeholders throughout the Musanada organisation gain control of project documentation, scheduling, budget and workflow in order to complete current and future projects quickly and efficiently.

“Musanada selected Proliance software due to its proven track record of successful implementations with large-scale commercial and government projects around the world,” said Musanada CEO Mohamed Khalifa Al Fahed Al Mehairi.

 

Breezair wins major projects in UAE

BREEZAIR, a leading evaporative air cooling brand from Australia, has won a slew of major projects in a range of new application areas in the industrial, commercial and leisure and recreational sectors across the UAE, giving the company a firm foothold in the local market and boosting its ambitious programme of regional expansion.

Among the key deals that Breezair has clinched is the installation of Breezair evaporative air-conditioning systems at Volga-Dneper’s commercial hangar in Sharjah Airport, stables in Sir Baniyas island, RTA vehicle testing centres of Tamam-Al Ghandi, Cars-ETA, Wasel vehicle testing centres owned by Saif Belhasa Group, the RAK Ceramics production area, and commercial kitchens for the Hospitality Company in Ruwais.

The Breezair systems are exclusively distributed by ClimaGulf, the UAE’s leading natural air cooling solutions provider, which has been appointed the master distributor in the GCC by Australia’s Seeley International, the manufacturer of Breezair.

 

Corodex wins key Meed honour

CORODEX Industries Company, a part of Concorde-Corodex Group, has won an award in recognition of its sustainability drive.

It won the “Water and Water Reuse Project of the Year for UAE” for its Al Barari Development Phase One infrastructure works project from the prestigious Meed Quality Awards for Projects 2013.

The award is the only programme in the GCC that recognises completed quality projects.

This well-thought-out project aims to treat raw sewage water and treated sewage effluent (TSE) to be able to use it for unrestricted irrigation for landscaping and supply for waterways and canals in the projects.

Corodex Industries together with its partner, Elfo International, a UK-based company in the field of waste water treatment, water re-use and solid waste treatment, offered biological wastewater solutions namely Eflosaf and Eflosnaf to Al Barari to turn this vision into reality. Eflosaf and Eflosnaf employ ‘attached growth’ technologies in submerged aerated and non-aerated bioreactors, respectively.

 

EMI purchases machinery to Samco

EVEREST Metal Industries (EMI) has signed an agreement with rollforming technology leader Samco Canada for the purchase of its state-of-the-art machinery.

Additionally, in the 20th year of operations, EMI, a leading manufacturer of cable management systems in the UAE, has secured cable management projects in the region including Central Market, Cleveland Clinic, Shams Gate and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Sports Complex and Meydan in Dubai, besides various projects for water and electricity authorities and oil and gas companies in the UAE, Oman and Qatar.
