REYNAERS Middle East continues to showcase its innovative aluminium architectural solutions at exhibitions throughout the region, and is now gearing up to explore the potentially vibrant platform offered by The Big 5 Kuwait, which is set to make its debut in the country next month (September 16 to 18).
The Kuwait event, which builds on the phenomenal success of the flagship annual Big 5 show in Dubai, UAE, will be held at the Kuwait International Fairground.
The leading aluminium architectural solutions provider plans to exhibit a range of its doors and window profile systems at this inaugural exhibition, targeting a market that has been emerging as a strong contender in the residential or end-user projects segment, said Ali Khalaf, managing director of Reynaers Middle East.
“Kuwait is one of the oldest and more established markets under the Reynaers Middle East umbrella. It is unique in its own way and now The Big 5 Kuwait will provide a platform to further penetrate the market,” he added.
Reynaers’ display at the expo will include its new ES 45 Pa series, which Khalaf believes is well suited to the Kuwaiti market.
The ES 45 Pa has been designed and developed in Europe and is supported by a 10-year company guarantee. It can be utilised for both windows and window doors, with an inward or outward opening based on the same frame and double casement profiles.
“Both the outward and inward opening profiles have the same outer frame, and a glazing bead height of 22 mm which can be reused, thus making the ES 45 Pa economical. Both types have an optimised wall thickness with the inward system having a 7-mm gap in the window frame to make fabrication less tolerance sensitive. The systems come with the Euro groove for hardware. The building in depth for both types is 45 mm,” he explained.
The ES 45 Pa will benefit fabricators, architects, investors and end-users, according to Khalaf. “For fabricators, the ES 45 Pa rationalises articles, the frame profile, gaskets and corner cleats, and simplifies logistics. The Euro groove allows a free choice of gear, even for the outward opening window.”
Also on show will be the Aluwood series, another key system that suit the demands of the market, according to Khalaf. The RW 100 window and door system consists of an internal profile in wood and an external one in aluminium with thermal break. The internal profiles in solid natural wood are never in direct contact with the aluminium, allowing further insulation and avoiding thermal expansion problems caused by the use of different materials.
Reynaers had showcased the Aluwood series at the 16th edition of Uniexpo – a housing exhibition earlier this year – to tap Kuwait’s residential market that seeks innovative and luxury products. The company has already been successfully promoting this product in the region including in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain.
Part of Reynaers’ RW (Aluwood) range, the RW100 is a strong fashion statement by the European aluminium systems major, which has skilfully combined the versatility of the metal and the elegance of wood in an aesthetical end result that provides all the advantages of aluminium. Due to good thermal insulation values, the Aluwood system can be applied almost anywhere.
The profiles have an overall system depth of 82 mm for the frame and 100 mm for the vent. Besides, the use of hardware generates greater functionality due to its ability to act on several closing points, thus allowing a satisfactory adjustment of the doors.
Two other systems that enjoy popularity in the Kuwait market include the CP 130 Pa LS and the CS 59Pa (as well as CS 59 Pa-RE). The CP 130 Pa LS is a lift-and-slide (LS) sliding system, adapted to the Middle East region, which offers a wide variety of possibilities as well as high performance and enhanced burglar resistance. The system is not only functional, but also offers an economical and aesthetic solution with a slimline middle section. It is typically used for residential units including contemporary homes and villas.
CS 59 Pa-RE and CS 59Pa offer an extensive range of non-insulated profiles for the construction of elegant and moderately-priced aluminium frames in the Renaissance style. The CS 59Pa is suitable for outdoor applications in warm climates and can also be used for the partitioning of indoor office spaces.
Khalaf pointed out that Reynaers is a total systems solution supplier. “We supply the material, profile, accessories, know-how and technical support. Then our fabricators will get the material and cut the required stock for a project.”
“What differentiates us from our competitors is that we are a project-oriented total systems solution provider and do not depend solely on catalogue solutions,” he added. “Our strength also lies in our local production capacity. Reynaers develops the systems, which are locally extruded, insulated and painted.”
Reynaers has executed various distinct villas using the CS 59 Pa Series and the Aluwood Systems, as well as other systems such as the CS 77, the Ecosystem and the CF 77.
Some of the more recent projects undertaken in Kuwait include Abdul Aziz Ahmed Tower, Abdulla Building, Awtad Complex, Yacoub Tower, Dragon restaurant, Salmiya Hotel Tower, Ahmad Sarhan Building and several villa projects.
