The Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) of Oman will showcase five new projects at this month’s Project Oman 2014, which will highlight the country’s developing market and related infrastructure development.
The event, which runs from June 3 to 5, will be held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, Muscat, Oman.
“PAEW will present the new pumping station at Ghubrah desalination plant, a water transmission line from Ghubrah desalination plant to Muscat water reservoir, the Bausher to Seeb transmission pipeline in Muscat Governorate, a water treatment plant of Wadi Dayqah Dam at Mazari in Wilayat Qurayat, and the transmission pipeline from Wadi Dayqah treatment plant to Deem reservoir,” said Hamad bin Ali Al Jabri, general manager of projects at PAEW.
PAEW, the strategic sponsor for Project Oman, is committed to providing piped water to more than 95 per cent of the population in the next two decades. The demand for water in Oman has been growing at the rate of 15 per cent on average per year.
Project Oman, which is organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE), is being held under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
