• Nass Contracting won a major contract from Diyar Al Muharraq to build Phase One of Dragon City, a retail project coming up in Bahrain.

• German formwork specialist Paschal-Werk G Maier launched its variable column formwork and Wooden I beams for slab formwork.

• Bahrain-based Manara Developments reported “overwhelming interest” for its Wahat Al Muharraq villas with a large number of the residential villas offered at the expo sold and reserved in “record time”, said managing director Dr Hasan Al Bastaki.

• Delmon Gate reported a “good number” of enquiries for its Souq Delmon, which comprises 80 shops.

• A major attraction at this year’s gulfBID exhibition was German firm Oase’s Flash Wall displayed for the first time in Bahrain by Bader Maintenance and Construction (BMC). The Bahrain company wowed the crowds with a huge display that used  water to create colourful images. The Flash Wall can be used for advertisements in shopping malls and other public places.

• Bahraini exhibitor Sab Technology won more than 10 orders for its CCTV and time attendance machines worth several thousands of dollars, according to Sab Group sales manager Rajesh Babu.

• New Dream Trading notched up orders for four golf carts and pools, said division manager Rajiv Verma.

• Second-time exhibitor Delta Industrial Supplies launched Milwaukee power tools from the US and showcased Ventura water pumps and Khaitan fans from India.

• One of Naraina Holding Group Companies, Slingtek introduced high-quality flat polyester webbing slings, chain slings, wire rope slings and fall protections systems.

• Modern Glass Technology introduced mirror cladding, mirrors with lights and furniture with bevelled mirror cladding.

• Al Yusuf Thermo Glass sales and marketing manager Sadiq Al Thahaba said the company was introducing a new type of decorative laminated glass to the Bahrain market.

• Neptune Technical and Trading spotlighted its aluminium fabrication division as well as aluminium kitchen designs as well as windows and doors at gulfBID.
