REYNAERS, which has been participating in The Big 5 Dubai for several years now, will be at this year’s show to highlight its commitment to being a solutions provider.

Reynaers Middle East, the regional office of the European aluminium systems provider, will be putting up a highly impressive stand at The Big 5 2014, says Ali Khalaf, managing director of the Bahrain-based regional office.

“This will provide us with an opportunity to reiterate Reynaers’ commitment of being a solution-based business partner and share our worldwide knowledge with architects and engineers. Although we have always strived to highlight Reynaers’ strengths and excellent quality assurance at most of the events we have participated in, we have not been able to showcase our product range on an international level. This year, we will fill that gap and proudly present some of the most popular systems in full sizes,” he adds.

Khalaf says the company intends to showcase actual elements of curtain-walling, doors, windows and sliding systems at its stand at this year’s Big 5, in line with the international stand concept followed by its various subsidiaries worldwide.

“This stand will allow visitors to experience the functionality and mechanisms of the various systems displayed. A larger team of Reynaers’ sales and technical staff will be present at the stand to answer the queries of visitors and we hope to emphasise on the company’s ever-growing capabilities and the innovative strategies taken up over the years of operation specifically in the Middle East,” says Khalaf.

This year, Reynaers is celebrating 10 years of operations in the Middle East. Since the start of operations, the company has grown several fold both in terms of turnover and employee base. It recently took up an additional floor to accommodate several new staff members in various departments.

This apart, another major milestone for the company is the launch of a warehouse facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, which will begin operations in early 2015. Through this new facility, Reynaers aims to enhance its service to customers, especially for small- to mid-sized projects, offering faster delivery and greater efficiency.

Reynaers Middle East has been associated with some of the region’s most prestigious projects such as the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Aspire Tower in Qatar, Tala Islands and Ruf car showroom in Bahrain, Mohandessin building in Egypt and Salmiya Hotel in Kuwait. Other projects include Qatar Foundation’s headquarters and Qatar National Convention Centre in Qatar, the Four Seasons hotel in Bahrain and the Al Khair Tower in Saudi Arabia.

“All these projects feature bespoke solutions which are the result of Reynaers consult and projects team’s relentless efforts to give shape to the vision of project owners and designers,” says Khalaf.

However, he says that a wide array of standard solutions form the core of its business that can be seen in thousands of hi-rise towers, commercial and residential buildings, hospitals, universities, showrooms and entertainment venues.

“The list is endless particularly with the addition of the business-to-consumer segment catering to the villa and home owner target market,” he adds.

Meanwhile, Reynaers is gearing up to cater to the growing activity in the UAE construction sector, especially following Dubai’s successful bid to host the Expo 2020. It has recently opened a branch office in Dubai Silicon Oasis, which initially will cater to the markets of the UAE, Qatar and Oman. However, its area of responsibility may be extended based on its performance, says Aws Salih, area sales manager, UAE.

Some of the recent projects undertaken in the UAE include the Presidential Palace and the $1.54-billion Cleveland Clinic, the first US-branded medical centre in the emirates.

“Reynaers has supplied part of the façade for the Cleveland Clinic using customised profiles of the CW 50 system to support the wide-spanned vertical aluminium members,” Salih says.

Its latest project to be completed in the UAE is the Hind Tower, a high-rise building which is also equipped with the CW 50 system, he adds.

Speaking about the systems that will be showcased at The Big 5 this year, Abdulla Mayoof, technical manager of Reynaers Middle East, says these include a practical mix of its most popular systems and newly-launched systems.

“The company’s curtain-walling is in high demand, thanks to its technical performance and the different variants of exterior and interior profile features,” he says.

One of the systems that will be showcased at Reynaers’ stand will be the CW 50-SC, a functional façade and roof system that offers virtually unlimited design freedom and allows maximum transparency. The insulated and aesthetic CW 86 system, which complies with the requirements of large building projects, will also be exhibited at the show.

“For building projects, the speed of execution on site is very important. The CW 86, therefore, offers special solutions where cassettes or elements can be pre-assembled in the workshop. The cassettes can either be hooked onto a traditional stick structure (CW 86) or the façade can be built up element by element according to the modular curtain-wall principle (CW 86-EF),” explains Mayoof.

Among its sliding doors, the newly-launched Hi-Finity, a ‘door with an infinite view’, will be presented for the first time at The Big 5. This latest innovation features an ultra-slim design which creates large transparent surfaces, with a light, sleek and elegant appearance. Despite the minimal visual sidelines, the system’s high strength allows Hi-Finity to carry large glass panes weighing up to 500 kg.

“This combined with high performance and the minimalistic look makes the product the best solution for low-energy contemporary architecture. This system is burglary resistant to Class RC2, offering a safe and secure solution,” adds Mayoof.

The CP 130 and CF 77 are among the other sliding systems to be showcased at The Big 5. The CP 130 is a highly insulated slide and lift-slide system, which meets the highest requirements with regard to insulation, stability and safety, whereas the CF 77 combines high insulation and comfort with maximal transparency and elegant look.

“The CF 77 folding door system draws the exterior into your home, while using minimum of space. This is a much-sought-after system for home and villa owners who are keen to merge the exterior and interior seamlessly,” says Mayoof.

Reynaers’ windows line-up at the show will include the CS 68-SO (Soft Line) and Sensity, allowing visitors to experience the practicality of these systems. The CS 68 is a universal system offering stability, thermal insulation and security and is available in a variety of styles – Functional, Renaissance, Soft Line and Hidden Vent.

“This way the window can make match any building style perfectly,” explains Mayoof.

Sensity (CSW 86-HI), which combines the best of aluminium and wood, is a highly insulated aluminium system for windows based on the technologically refined Reynaers CS 86-HI system, guaranteeing a comfortable interior climate, he continues.

Reynaers is a leading European specialist in the development and marketing of innovative and sustainable architectural aluminium solutions for windows, doors, curtain-walling, sliding systems, sun-screening, conservatories, skylights, screens and systems to incorporate blinds and ventilation grids.

Established in 1965 and headquartered in Duffel, Belgium, Reynaers has offices in more than 30 countries worldwide. Besides offering an extensive range of standard solutions, the company also develops solutions that are tailored to individual projects.

Reynaers Middle East was established in Bahrain in 2004 to provide hi-tech aluminium architectural solutions for the growing construction needs in the region.

The company will be exhibiting at Stand F111, Zabeel Hall, at The Big 5.
