Kärcher launches dust buster

Kärcher, a world leader in innovative cleaning technology solutions, has launched in the Middle East, its strongest multipurpose vacuum cleaner – the MV 3 – to meet consumer demands.

Commenting on the products, Meraj Khan, responsible for overall business, Kärcher Home and Garden (residential), says: “The MV 3 is the latest installment that highlights our efforts to marry innovation with energy efficiency,” he says.

While it only consumes 1,000 watts of energy, the MV 3 is as powerful as a 1,400-watt vacuum cleaner. This can be attributed to the MV 3’s energy-efficient motors, which gives it up to 20 per cent more power than other leading brands in the market today.

Sporting a robust and impact-resistant plastic container with a 17-litre capacity, the latest Kärcher multi-purpose cleaner also has a cartridge filter that allows users to conveniently vacuum wet and dry substances, without having to change the filter. It promotes optimal dirt intake and ensures perfect cleaning results, thanks to its new suction hose and newly developed clip-on floor nozzle with mixer, says Khan.

With MV 3’s easily removable handle, users can easily attach accessories directly to the suction hose, making cleaning even the smallest of spaces very comfortable.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use at home or in garages, workshops or private construction sites, the MV 3 boasts a patented filter system that has an integrated filter cleaning functionality, making filter removal simple, while avoiding contact with dirt.

Suspended lamps piece of art

Germany’s Neo Design has introduced the White Noise lamp, a beautifully sculpted suspension ceramic lamp of a remarkable delicacy and simplicity that directs and shapes light in a theatrical way.

White Noise was designed to be an unobtrusive functional piece of lighting, pure and sleek in order to enhance every imaginable interior with its dramatic paleness and white light, according to its designer Rodrigo Vairinhos. The lamps are handmade. Each lamp weighs 1.2 kg and is 386 mm high and
133 mm wide.

Neo Design is a design studio established in late 2005 by the Portuguese industrial designer Vairinhos in Witten, Germany. From a former studio, this institution has  become what is today the brand Neo.

Neo’s design philosophy aims to create a concept of everyday products with a strong character, whose design language and quality are clearly seen on the creations of Vairinhos, according to a Neo spokesperson.

“Those creations unify functionality and aesthetics and they feature multi-functionality without lacking elegance and freshness that mirrors at best our contemporary panorama,” he says.

Neo is constantly developing products in order to satisfy the needs of the contemporary user whose expectations go beyond the traditional ‘parameters’ appealing for ‘style’ and quality at all levels.

“That’s the reason why Neo maintains a constant commitment to research, innovation and internationalism,” he says.

Tableware inspired by the Amazon

Ceramics manufacturer Villeroy & Boch (V & B) has introduced a new tableware collection called Anmut Amazonia range, inspired by the great expedition of famous traveller Alexander von Humboldt in the Amazon region.

“While white is a lasting tableware trend, fresh floral patterns are beginning to grace the table more and more,” says a spokesperson for the German company.

Featuring colourful plant and animal life of the Amazon, this premium bone porcelain tableware collection depicts tropical butterflies, passion fruits, orchids and flowers of the Calliandra Grandiflora. The intricate décor is made even more stunning by its sparingly applied gold overlay.

The collection also lends itself beautifully to a range of textiles and accessories to create an effortless mix-and-match appearance, which is suited to styles from an inner city apartment as well as to more classic furniture styles. It is available in 18 different pieces including plates, cups, bowls and platters of various sizes.

For a subtle floral touch, V & B Mariefleur Gris tableware collection combines modern purity with traditional country-style motifs, to create a detailed floral décor with a fine meadow background and watercolour blossoms in purple hues.
