The Jahra Road Development Project in Kuwait has achieved major advancements with the latest milestone being the opening of the Fourth Ring Road last month.  Commenced in 2010, the project is considered to be one of the largest single infrastructure projects in Kuwait and in the Middle East.






Qatar’s Public Works Authority Ashghal has awarded contracts worth more than QR1.25 billion ($343 million) for the construction of 17 new schools and six kindergartens in a bid to boost the country’s educational infrastructure. Work is already under way on 38 schools and kindergartens at a cost of QR1.






Materials washing specialist CDE Global has expanded its team of personnel responsible for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, which the company said will allow for greater regional focus.

The two-year contract was awarded by Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran), reported the Muscat Daily.






Oman has started the masterplanning of the second phase of Sohar Free Zone targeting an area of around 1,000 hectares, a two-fold increase over the area developed in the first phase, said a report.

Construction work on a new multi-million-dinar cardiology centre in Bahrain is set to begin soon.
