Top French firms Allaine and Sogal head to Qatar

01 May 2015

A total of 22 French companies will be exhibiting their products and services in a pavilion organised by Business France at Project Qatar. Located in Hall Four, the pavilion will provide a showcase for French products for the construction and finishings sectors.

“The high quality and reliability of the products being exhibited are proof that, once again this year, ‘Made in France’ products in the construction and finishing sectors are synonymous with research and innovation,” said a spokesperson for Business France.

Almost one-third of the French exhibitions will be making their debut at the show. Some of the companies exhibiting at the event include Allaine, a manufacturer of adjustable pedestals; Presto, a maker of water-saving taps and fittings; and Sogal, a producer of a wide range of motorised closet doors, walk-in closets and partitions.

The French Pavilion at Project Qatar aims to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new joint ventures, promote the ‘Made-in-France’ brand, and make solid connections with local contractors, distributors and agents.

Allaine, which specialises in the production of injection-moulded plastic parts for the construction sector, will exhibit its screwjack pedestals. Adjustable or fixed, they are used for slab and timber terraces.

They are adjustable in heights ranging from 25 mm to 700 mm and allow slabs to be adjusted and levelled continuously, effortlessly, quickly and at a lower cost, said Allaine. They are used particularly in pedestrian walkway areas. Efficient, resistant, simple and long-lasting, the adjustable pedestal can be used on a double- or single-layer concrete seal, asphalt or any other suitable base, it said.

Sogal will present its range of motorised closet doors, walk-in closets and partitions, each of which is made to measure, featuring meticulous design and a variety of adornments like mirrors, glass, wood and colour. It will be launching its new motorised closet door at the event.

For the past 30 years, Sogal has specialised in innovative solutions to organise indoor spaces. The company makes eco-friendly sliding, swivelling and bendable closet doors, as well as upscale partitions and walk-in closets.
