Powerscreen, a leading global manufacturer of mobile crushing and screening equipment, recently launched its newest compact mobile screen – the Warrior 600 – at Intermat 2015, a leading international show for construction equipment, machinery, and technology and materials, held in Paris, France.
Commenting on the launch, Stephen McCartney, international sales director for Powerscreen, says: “With extremely positive customer and distributor feedback at a recent preview event in Florida, US and from the experiences of operators during the test phase of this machine, we are very excited about the launch of our new Warrior 600 screen. At this important exhibition, we showcased the machine’s key features including its compact size which allows it to be transported in a shipping container and makes it easy to move between job sites at minimal cost. This machine demonstrates how we can meet the needs of the aggregates and recycling segments across the world.”
The Warrior 600 is the most recent addition to the Warrior mobile screening product family. “The most compact heavy-duty mobile screen makes the Warrior range the widest in the market with six machines of varying size to meet a variety of customer requirements,” he says. “Ease of transport is only one of many exciting features on this new model. The Warrior 600 screen is highly versatile with its ground-breaking simple conversion from three-way split mode to two-way split mode which can be completed in minutes. It has been specifically designed for operators for whom versatility, manoeuvrability and transportation are of key importance.”
The Warrior 600 also features a highly aggressive 8 ft by 4 ft screenbox capable of 6g of acceleration. The high-strength, high amplitude, two-bearing screenbox promotes easy handling and separation of large items from material fines in recycling tasks, such as soils from tree stumps and logs, fines and rock from overburden and blasted rock. User benefits include a rapid set-up time and ease of operation aided by hydraulic folding side conveyors, rigid feed hopper sides and two speed tracks.
Powerscreen currently has some Warrior 600 machines on order and due for delivery to the Gulf region in the coming months.
The company was also gearing up to showcase a new range of new machines including the exclusive launch of the Powerscreen Premiertrak 600 jaw crusher at an open day event in Stockholm, Sweden at the end of last month (May 28 to 29). These crusher will soon will be available to its dealers and customers in the Gulf region, according to Powerscreen.
Other machines which were to be unveiled include the Warrior 2100 screen, Chieftain 2200 screen, 1150 Maxtrak (pre-screen) cone crusher, and Trakpactor 320SR impact crusher.
• Premiertrak 600: The machine has been developed to meet the productivity requirements of customers coupled with high expectations. It comes to market in two possible configurations: diesel-hydraulic and diesel-electric, both of which are designed and constructed to deliver maximum production and performance with minimum downtime and running costs. The diesel-electric machine can be powered directly from an on-site source which further reduces the cost of operation.
At the heart of the Premiertrak 600 crusher, is a 1,200 by 820 mm modern jaw chamber incorporating robust construction with many user-friendly features including a fully hydraulic CSS range of 75-200 mm and a reversing system to clear blockages quickly for increased uptime. The aggressive stroke and high inertia flywheels provide high production rates and excellent reduction ratios. With speed and safety in mind, the Premiertrak 600 crusher can be fully set up from ground level due to its hydraulic folding and locking hopper system, in combination with the hydraulically lowering product conveyor. Like all other products in Powerscreen’s mobile jaw range, the Premiertrak 600 model hosts an array of options which are configurable for each and every possible application.
• Warrior 2100: This mobile scalping screen is engineered to include the company’s proven Triple Shaft technology, first developed for the highly successful Warrior 2400, a model which is now well established in markets worldwide. “This Triple Shaft technology – unique to Powerscreen heavy-duty mobile screens – is designed so that the 16 ft by 5 ft screenbox remains highly effective and efficient while maintaining exceptional throughput productivity,” says McCartney. “The extreme screening acceleration offers the Warrior 2100 screen improved capabilities over its class rivals, especially in sticky scalping applications.”
With amplitudes and accelerations in excess of 16 mm and 6g respectively, the Warrior 2100 triple shaft screen outperforms conventional screens in a multitude of applications including aggregates, overburden, processed ores, topsoil, compost, construction and demolition (C&D) waste, commercial and industrial (C&I) waste, foundry waste and biomass.
Some Warrior 2100 machines are currently on order and due for delivery to the Gulf region in the coming months, says the company.
• 1150 Maxtrak: The Powerscreen range of tracked mobile cone crushers was broadened in late 2014 with the launch of the mid-sized 1150 Maxtrak unit. Targeted at quarry operators and contractors alike, the 1150 Maxtrak builds upon the success of the 1000 Maxtrak and 1300 Maxtrak models offering unrivalled performance, production and versatility. The crushing action of the 1150 Maxtrak also delivers the same superb product shaping for which the other Powerscreen cones have become world-renowned, McCartney says.
• Chieftain 2200: The Powerscreen Chieftain 2200, due for launch later this year, features two screenboxes and offers optimum performance with even the tightest aggregate specifications.
• Trakpactor 320SR: This mid-sized horizontal impact crusher has been redesigned with some key enhancements to offer operators and contractors excellent reduction and high consistency of product shape for performance in quarry and recycling applications. The crushing chamber features an 1,130 by 800 mm feed opening, hydraulically-assisted CSS (closed side setting) adjustment, four-bar rotor and twin apron design, and hydraulic overload protection as standard. New to this model is an optional fully independent hydraulic pre-screen which improves fines removal and reduces chamber wear costs. “The plant is capable of working in the most demanding environments and features rapid set-up time, fuel-efficient direct drive system and excellent output potential of up to 320 tonnes per hour (tph),” he says.
The machine features a recirculating conveyor which raises for transport, allowing more ground clearance under the machine when moving on site and loading for transport. “One of the most exciting features of the Trakpactor 320SR crusher is the quick-detach post-screen section which converts it to a standard Trakpactor 320 unit in minutes. This provides operators with outstanding versatility to use the machine in a variety of different applications,” McCartney adds.
