Innovative solutions on offer

01 November 2016

Master, a specialist in accessories for aluminium-framed doors and windows, supported by its UAE partner WinDar will take part in The Big 5 show this month, where it will focus on the innovative solutions it offers to the construction industry.

“At this edition of The Big 5, we intend to bring new value-added solutions that could strengthen our brand in the region,” says Albert Ryzhkou, senior export manager
of Master.

“At our stand, we will put the spotlight on new solutions. These include the AS300 lift-and-slide system with a capacity ranging from 300 kg to 400 kg, the SP160 tilt-and-slide mechanism with the performance of a casement system, and the new line of accessories and solutions dedicated to the doors,” he adds.

Through its participation, Master aims to attract the interest of designers, architects and international contractors in the Gulf. After exhibiting at The Big 5 for five consecutive years, Master has become a reference point for stakeholders and distributors throughout the area, he says.

At The Big 5, Master will also focus on building bonds and ensure that it continues to maintain good business ties with customers, says Ayman Adeeb, area manager Middle East.

Commenting on the company’s goals, Adeeb says: “Our mission is not only to produce accessories to the highest quality level, but also to study, understand the needs and enhance knowledge in the aluminium field.

“Furthermore, we aim at improving integration with architecture, through constant planning. Planning accessories for doors and windows means to understand not only their operation but also all the aspects regarding energy saving, sustainability and durability. For this reason, we are collaborating with a large number of researchers, planners, architects and designers from key international research centres and organisations.”

Backed by 30 years of experience, Master offers more than 1,800 products which include automation systems, sliding systems, cremone bolts and handles and hinges and a host of other accessories.

“Master, one of the leading producers of hardware and accessories in Europe, has witnessed a 30 per cent growth in business over the past year,” says Adeeb.

Ryzhkou indicates that the company is planning to expand further in the Gulf, which is one of its three main markets in the world, with the other two being Jordan and Africa. Master is also looking at further expansion in the US.

Master’s accessories have been used on numerous developments in the Gulf region along with Brital façade and curtain-walling systems of the UK. Its major projects in the UAE include a Movenpick hotel, a Rotana hotel, an office building in Motor City, executive villas at Acacia Gardens, Sidra Tower, the Higher Institute of Judicial and Juristic Science, Real Estate Bank and Marina Diamond, and the Dubai Marina in Dubai; and the BMW and Skoda showrooms, Al Noor, Al Andalus and Al Anwar towers in Sharjah.

Elsewhere in the Gulf, its systems have been used for the Aramco North Park Office Complex in Dhahran, Sipchem office building, Zamil House, Al Bhutain Tower, and Al Tuwairqi Tower in Al Khobar, and Down Syndrome Centre in Jubail, all in Saudi Arabia; Knowledge Oasis in Muscat, Oman; Al Jaidah residential building in Doha, Qatar; and Mariam Tower in Kuwait.

Adeeb says with projects now moving toward quality products that are offered at cost-competitive prices, Master accessories are increasing being sought for by clients and consultants.

Master products have approval and certification from Abu Dhabi’s Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), the UAE Ministry of Public Works, Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, key consultants and developers in this region. Master Group continues to innovate using the services of its MasterLAB, a research and design centre equipped with a full testing laboratory that was created in 2008 to meet the evolving legislation for windows and doors and the rapidly changing market.

MasterLAB, equipped with cutting-edge software, methodological and experimental tools, undertakes experimental, development and customer service research, study and design. It develops new products and works on improving the performances of the standard ones. Its know-how is supported through partnerships with ITC-CNR (Institute for Building Technologies and National Research Council) in Italy and IRcCOS (Institute of Research and Certification for the Sustainable Buildings) in Russia. It owns 42 patents/utility models, many of which deposited at the international level.

Adeeb also points out that in line with its policy of protecting the environment, Master has also signed a voluntary agreement with Italy’s Ministry of Environment whereby it undertakes, as the first company in the field of doors and windows accessories, to define a methodology for calculating carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in order to reduce emissions in the production process.

Master will be present at Stand C141 in the Sheikh Saeed Halls.
