Growing presence

01 November 2016

Danube’s pioneering aluminium composite panels and the latest version of its Milano water heaters will be in the spotlight at The Big 5 show, alongside a host of building materials that the Dubai-headquartered company offers the regional market.

“Milano’s market share for water heaters has grown exponentially in the last year and with the latest version we aim to offer a grand service to our partners in trading and projects as well,” says Anis Sajan, managing director of the Danube Group.

“Milano registered a 10 per cent growth during the first half of 2016 and we expect an overall growth of 15 per cent by the end of the year,” he adds.

Milano has been expanding constantly during the last five years in the UAE, the GCC and worldwide.

Also showcased prominently at The Big 5 will be Danube’s new non-combustible aluminium composite panels (ACPs), which were launched this year. Danube claims to be the first and the only producer in the region of the A2 non-combustible ACPs which are produced under the Alucopanel Middle East banner.

In addition, the company has allotted one stand solely to offer franchising opportunities of Danube Home.

Other products to be promoted at the show include sanitary ware from Turkey, bath fittings from Italy as well as bathroom accessories from China. Under its luxury offerings, Danube will promote steam rooms, massage bathtubs, shower exclusions and shower room by Apollo, for which the company is the exclusive supplier in the GCC.

Danube has been exhibiting at The Big 5 show for the past 15 years and considers it a great platform to showcase new as well as existing popular products.

“The Big 5 is one of the biggest building materials shows in the region and we have always garnered a lot of interest among potential customers through it. We have received overwhelming response with numerous enquiries converting into orders and partnerships,” he adds.

The event, according to Sajan, is a great platform for suppliers to showcase their products as well as for buyers to have access to vast information about the industry all under one roof.  “Moreover, it serves as the perfect environment to gauge the market conditions and witness the various developments first-hand,” Sajan says.

Commenting on the business, he says: “With so many projects that are currently under way, we have witnessed increasing demand for building material products in the GCC, particularly the UAE.

“Since last year’s Big 5 show, new frontiers have been opened for our products, right from the CIS countries to South East Asia.”

Established in 1992 as a building material company, Danube has diversified into a B2C (business to consumer) retail wing, Danube Properties, and much more. Under the building materials division, it offers over 25,000 materials including plywood, timber, MDF (medium density fibreboard), steel, bath fittings, ceiling and ceramic tiles, among others.

Danube can be visited at Stand 4B191.
